Social Fixing California

Yet the idiots from Cali who caused all of the bad conditions will then fuck up the areas they move to. They 'escape' California, then try to vote and change the new place into a new California. Like Locusts.
Like a virus.

I grew up in conservative Nevada but have spent most of my adult life in the States living in California and NYC. There are huge differences between the two. Complaints about NYC are valid. Complaints about Cali are jealousy.

When people complain about NYC, it's an argument of value. They say you don't get enough bang for your buck. And it's true. Unless you're truly in the 1%, NYC isn't worth it. You still have shit weather, you still probably have to ride the subway, you still regularly pass filth and homeless people and have limited access to beauty and nature. No matter how much you pay and how many museums you enjoy and how many shows you watch and how much good food you eat, you can't escape the negatives.

When people complain about Cali, it's about expense. It's not that Cali isn't worth the cost, it's just that Cali is costly. However, if you're upper middle class in Cali, you actually CAN enjoy the weather and food and nature and friendly people without having to deal with the squalor and falsity of LA, for example.

The people who complain about NY see it as a bad investment. The people who complain about Cali, like some in this thread, are poor, unambitious losers who are too lazy to get the things they want in life, all of which California offers at not impossible prices.

California is America: a place that offers maximum opportunity and enjoyment for those willing to work for it. All the whiners in this thread are just mad because they feel entitled to the cool life and nice beachside property that a bunch of hard working Chinese immigrants are taking from them.

I've lived in Philly, Long Island NY and Southern California so I'm going to comment on what you're saying.

Yup, you're right on the money when it comes to NYC. Living out in Long Island was bad enough but at least it was safe and relatively clean. Anytime I had to drive through the city, holy fuck what a nightmare. It was like being transported to some dystopian movie set.

I currently live in Southern California and make low six figures. I think that still renders me "middle class" for this part of the country, as absurd as that sounds. I do enjoy the food, (some) friendly people, nature and weather. HOWEVER, I still have to deal with an hour commute to work due to traffic and not wanting to live in bad neighborhoods. Moreno Valley? Riverside? Perris? Hemet? Yeah no thanks.

In addition to that is the density of the population. If I want to do anything in San Diego or Los Angeles, I need to block out at least 4 hours of driving time just to get there and home in the same day. That's ridiculous. And if I want to do anything on, god forbid, a FRIDAY? Fuck my life, it's hardly worth leaving the house. Everyone leaves work early and the roads are congested from 10am until 9pm.

You say that if you have the money, you can enjoy Cali properly. But even multi-millionaires like Joe Rogan complain about sitting in hours of traffic on the 405 or other insane freeways in the LA area. Unless you transit the area by fucking HELICOPTER every day or something, you will be stuck with the janitors, minimum wage workers and all the rest of humanity sucking in exhaust for hours every day on the freeways. Welcome to California, I hope you like paying $4 per gallon on gas and staring at brake lights.

Some of the pluses are indeed the nature, but even all of the hiking trails are nothing but dust, brown scenery and dead grass due to years of drought. The Pacific Ocean is ice fucking cold even in peak summer months.

The people who complain about NY see it as a bad investment. The people who complain about Cali, like some in this thread, are poor, unambitious losers who are too lazy to get the things they want in life, all of which California offers at not impossible prices.

I appreciate the sentiment!

LA traffic is definitely insane, but that's part of being in a city. City life is city life. I have an Irish friend that moved to the States and the thing he was most excited about was driving to work each day since that wasn't a thing for him. Some people like driving (I don't, which is one thing about nyc I like more than SoCal) and the traffic is just a drawback of that. I never had many problems with traffic living in SD. Gaslamp gets congested, but the roads to other parts of the county like La Jolla and Carlsbad and stuff aren't too bad.

Don't get me wrong, Cali is expensive and has it's flaws. But most people would be totally willing to deal with Cali traffic in exchange for all the other fun Cali stuff.

And the people. The people are important too. Californias are the coolest, most diverse set of people in the country. New Yorkers are interesting but take pride in behaving like assholes. Southerners can be hospitable and friendly af, but are generally homogenous and boring. PNW is full of pansies, and middle america is one personality shared by millions of people. Cali has people from all over the world and all walks of life and they're all generally chill and friendly.

We've seen a lot of electoral fraud, particularly by Republican politicians, but voter fraud, even when investigated by the White House' own commission, found nothing of this rampant voter fraud the President and people like you keep talking about.

You gonna talk about the 40 million illegal alien voters in the last election that robbed Trump of getting every electoral college vote possible?

Must be why California that was forced to remove over 1.5 million ineligible voters from the rolls in Los Angeles County alone after years of stalling and fraud fights tooth and nail against any kind of investigation into voter fraud or any attempt at Voter ID.

Yet you claim the investigations they won't cooperate with (because everyone in California knows illegals vote, including the leader of the CA Senate Leader who talked openly about it and in support) prove what they haven't been allowed to investigate. Again, typical.

Northern (and I mean far northern) California is pretty much what you described minus the grizzly bears. The Smith River area and the Siskyou Mountains are pretty much a people free paradise that almost nobody knows about.

Good luck dying to a volcano. I remember when I was a young boy in San Diego thinking the day St. Helens erupted that there was a chance it was going to get me.

This must be the results from the voter fraud commission that Trump set up the moment he became president?

Negative. I've lived in other cities like Fort Worth, Philadelphia, Tucson and Oklahoma City and the traffic is NOT insane everywhere. This is a uniquely Californian problem.

Don't get me wrong, Cali is expensive and has it's flaws. But most people would be totally willing to deal with Cali traffic in exchange for all the other fun Cali stuff.

Not me. I'm out of here within a few weeks, back to Arizona where the living is cheap, the girls are easily impressed and the commute is walkable. You can have California.

Diverse, yes, in some parts. In Riverside county it's mostly white, Mexican and black. San Diego is pretty great, especially if you love Asian girls. That's the main thing I'll miss about California, the Asians...

Yes. That's one of them that they won't cooperate with. Tons of others from private conservative groups, such Judicial Watch that forced them to remove 1.5 million fraudulent voters in one county.

Been going on for years. You can't prove voter fraud when the state won't cooperate with the investigation and they only reason they wouldn't, is because the people in power know the fraud exists and is benefiting them.

This is another thing this guy is posting without looking up. This is what you're referring to:

https://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/...ion-Inactive-Voters-From-Rolls-505494031.html

Inactive voters are purged from the rolls. There were 0 fraudulent voters in the county.

I'm sure your view of that is not at all biased, skewed, or brought to you by Breitbart and the Daily Caller. It's weird the WH team that tried to find massive fraud for the President's whim couldn't find anything. Hmm.....

You have no proof and you never will that the 1.5 million names removed for whatever reason voted in the last election or in 90% of the cases voted twice. See here’s the thing, you hear 1.5 million names and you go straight to conspiracy. Most of those names are people who’ve moved, changed districts, etc and were either duplicated or never removed.

Oof. Never seen a poor hand wave 3rd world weather conditions this way.

I bet you think things like "a working car", "electricity", and "plumbing" makes one 'soft' also LMAO. Just admit you can't afford to live in CA, you poor.
i can't afford to live there mentally... bunch of delusional flakes. Monetarily, why would i want to spend whatever kind of money necessary to live in an unsustainable (southern cali) ego-land of self righteous blowhards? North, maybe, but i'll stay where i'm at...

*edit: you sound soft...

When a 2 bedroom/800 sq ft. home cost over a million dollars you can take Cali and shove it up your ass.
Yep my family founded a city in southern California and we rolled out in the late 80s. My aunts house which was s nice two story house was sold for over one million bucks. The housing is unaffordable and the crime is bad. The weather is nice, but I wouldn't live there

"I'm lookin California, feelin Minnesota, oh yeah!"

Central California has always been "the Midwest of California", which is still true in many ways. The influx of yuppie scum has changed a lot of the voting around here. "Money makes me special!" Ok, trustfund baby, I understand. Perfectly.

Trying to avoid the crowded city, and wanna live in the cuts? It's doable, but it's a different ball game, with it's own negatives n positives. Wildlife such as snakes, boar, deer, and tweakers are everywhere. No matter the time of day, granny's favorite tweaker grandson is out lookin for shit that isn't being watched, to see if they can steal it, make even a few bucks off it, n go get fuckin high again.

Homelessness, meth n heroin, are issues that we need to deal with. The cost of living, also, and the truly stupid-shitty drivers here, too, God damn.

This guy gets it (Southern California).
