That's a really good point. I think in their mind transwomen are just women who are virtually indistinguishable from other women and should be treated as such. But nonetheless they face more discrimination for being trans and therefore when they succeed they did so while facing a steeper uphill battle than most women. This is why progressives sometimes congratulate them for winning sports competitions where the MtF clearly has a physical advantage and to everyone else they look nuts for doing so.![]()
I find the media's coverage of this milestone by Sarah McBride a little perplexing for the following reason.
When members of a certain branch of feminism suggest that a trans woman's experience of womanhood within the culture is fundamentally different than the experience of a biological woman's they are pilloried by a certain segment of the left.
On the other hand, while we know that many, many women have become both state and US senators prior to 2020, McBride is being singled out and congratulated by this same segment of the left for her unique achievement - due to her being a trans woman.
Is this not evidence that those who condemn allegedly "anti-trans" feminists ultimately make the same exact distinction between trans women and biological women in terms of their very different experiences within the culture?
Why do only some get to decide when a transgender woman may be considered a woman and when she is to be considered a "woman +"? Why isn't all such differentiation labeled transphobia?
^^^^^^^^^^THISIs she qualified and will uphold constitution?
Then no issue for me. Good luck to her m. Hope she runs the office with integrity
I've asked people that question probably over 100 times on FB/Twitter and the rate of anyone's inability to answer it is still 100%.Those are both excellent questions, and beyond my understanding of the topic.

mmm nope. It's most certainly a mental disorder having to do with their identity and how they see themselves. No amount of SJW books can change that fact, fella.
There is absolutely nothing natural about needing surgery to invert your penis and trying to make it into a functioning vagina. It was already, by nature, a fully functional penis.
You are altering your nature into something that it is not. That's the fact. Jack.
Except by an OT'er like myself.. we can spot a tranny a mile away.. no matter what they look like.EDIT: Also from that picture she looks fairly passable, no five o'clock shadow or obvious manjaw.
Gender is based on your biological sex not what you think in your head. I can think that I am a bird but the second I jump off a roof I will realize I am not as I plummet to earth. It's that their gender does not match their biological sex. Not sure why this is so confusing for you.
This is actually completely wrong.Gender is based on your biological sex not what you think in your head.
It is labeled transphobia from time to time. The left is a big tent party, full of lots of different perspectives and ideas. Some people think any mention of a "dead name" is transphobic, others don't, etc etc.
If you look into phantom limb syndrome you'll see that men who lose their penis due to an accident actually still experience pain in their penis and often have the sensation that it is still there. This does not occur with transgender people, according to Robert Sapolsky, the leading expert on this subject.
Transgenderism has a long history, going back at least as far as ancient Rome and ancient China. Wherever there has been human civilization, people have dressed in the garb traditional to the opposite gender for all sorts of reasons. It's one way of being human, among many others.
Amazing post. I actually shared the same video earlier.
You can think whatever you want but it does not change science. Just because mentally ill people can be exploited to destroy society does not mean it is right. Playing dress up does not make you something you are not. If you have a penis you are a male and if you have a vagina you are a woman. This is actually completely wrong.
The problem is that you brought up her sexuality, as if it were a factor to anything. The very people who don’t want labels are the first people to use them....lol. Then use it as a disadvantage to further promote the situation. You arent able to see the laughable lapse in logic here?^^^^^^^^^^THIS
Science actually supports my view, and refutes yours. You can think whatever you want but it does not change science. Just because mentally ill people can be exploited to destroy society does not mean it is right. Playing dress up does not make you something you are not. If you have a penis you are a male and if you have a vagina you are a woman.
Gender identity is not the same thing as sexuality. The problem is that you brought up her sexuality, as if it were a factor to anything. The very people who don’t want labels are the first people to use them....lol. Then use it as a disadvantage to further promote the situation. You arent able to see the laughable lapse in logic here?
It’s like the gay brigade shrieking about not wanting to be identified by their sexual preference, then throwing global parades highlighting it the next day.
Incredible!
If a man claims he should have been born a woman, and was born in the wrong body etc, how do they know what being female actually feels like compared to how it feels to be male?
Where is the basis of comparison that one would absolutely must have to be able to differentiate between the two to then claim that even though they were born as male/female they should have been born as the other?
