Now THAT is the most hardcore vid on S&P for 2007. You're a fucking bad ass.

Finny did how much weight do you have at your home gym now? In the beginning of your log I noticed you had 600 lbs, looks like thats not gonna be enough for 2008.

I've got more than that. I've bought 4 more 45's since then.

"Cindy"

Circuit consists of:
5 pullups
10 pushups
15 bw squats

Repeat for twenty minutes.

"Cindy" circuit: x 18 in 20 minutes

Impressions: Ugh. Did okay, but I think I can do better. I did this in the AM instead of after work in some hopes of it being a bit warmer out in the dungeon. No such luck, really. I'll try this one again next week.

Deadlift:

185 x 3
225 x 3
315 x 3
385 x 3

425 x 1
495 x 1 *beltless PR, chalk*
535 x 1 *Belt*
600 x 0
600 x 1, + 15 lbs PR

Impressions:
Here's the deal. I bought two types of booze. One: If I got the 600 lbs, I'd celebrate w/ Bushmill's Irish Whiskey, my favorite whiskey in the world. If I didn't I'd be stuck w/ Burnett's Sour Apple Vodka, 6.50 a bottle. That was my motivation here.
I know this much from watching the vid:

*My hips are nowhere near low enough.

*My grip is a bit too wide.

if you ignore my shaking legs, the bar still moves upward slowly, but does not stall too much or go down to much. If my legs were fresher, this wouldn't look nearly as bad as it did (i,e, if I hadn't worked all day before attempting this).

Total, this makes a 215 lbs increase in this lift this year, as I started out at 385 last winter.

That was fucking intense and inspiring.

Thanks.
disclaimer: I don't advise everyone to do stuff the way I do it. I've been dodging the injury bullet for a while now, and I'm not quite sure how.

You were pretty close to dieselweaseling that weight up. Awesome PR, 215 lbs in 1 year is nutso gains.

I agree, it looked pretty bad cause of the shaking, but as I stated, the bar didn't really hitch much, despite my 'palsy technique.

Nice. Fucking. Pull.

Bushmills for the win.

Yeah, bar was pretty stationary, and it wasn't like you were trying to jerk the thing up 1" at a time. You hit a few sticking points, got stuck, and mantastic-ed your way out of it.

Grats on good booze.

That's phenominal finn. I pity those poor bastards at the Arnold.

How's the grappling and mma training going to be in 2008? Any changes in your schedule that'll let you do more technique / wrestling / sparring?

Oh, I told Drew about your deadlift, and he had a big grin on his face; he said that 600lbs is his personal best, too.

*waits patiently for sparring/rolling session between you two*

Unfortunately no. I'm adding in a lot more sandbag/neck/grip work over the next two months. The only thing that is changing is that a BJJ brown belt is going to begin teaching at my school in Feb, but that is only one month's worth, and I'm not even sure that it'll be offered on days or times I'll be able to train. That would piss me off.

Cool. I'd like to spar with him. Sounds like we've got a lot in common.
