Finnegan's Wake

Get some carpet remnants to roll up and zip tie together. That will work to keep from burying your sledge.

wow.. that's an incredible idea that I cannot believe I haven't thought of... carpet incoming so I can actually use this sledge.

Density Day

Cindy Circuit:
5 pullups
10 pushups
15 bw squats
repeat for 20 minutes.

Total: 21 complete circuits in 20 minutes/ death

Impressions:
Fully dead.

I'd pull all the vids...no sense in letting your opponent know that he's fighting a fucking silverback gorilla.

Is there anything linking your church vids to your real name? If not, I wouldn't worry about it.

excellent job on the cindy circuit.. i think i'm going to bang it out again this week / weekendand then again before the end of the month. your dedication to conditioning as well as strength is making me feel like I can drop down a bit on the lifting and still be strong.

Stupid question commence: What is 'Cindy'? Apparently I wasn't around when this was talked about/explained, so I have no idea what people are talking about when they say this.

Its a *****fit circuit of 5 pullups, 10 pushups, and 15 bodyweight squats that you repeat as many times as you can in 20 minutes. Its the Jan. Conditioning Challenge.

Damn, maybe I'll give that a go tomorrow, I am either going to do that or a sandbag complex.

Intervals

3 five minute Tabata rounds (20 seconds work/ 10 seconds rest) w/ 90 seconds rest between rounds.

Rd 1: Heavybag. Everything 100%. Focused on rapid fire 1-2's, knees, hooks, righ low and mid kicks

Rd 3: 35 lbs dumbell snatch/ 135 lbs Squat. Same alternating set up as before. Averaged 5 per hand w/ some spares, and 8-10 squats

Impressions:
Pretty good tonight. I really liked the Tabata rounds tonight. Did much better on the burpees than I thought I would.
The tire crunch thing was done on a whim and a found memory of Rocky 4. I through the rope I use to tie it to myself over my pullup bar, rowed it up for some grip work, and did crunches with it. Neat.

Hey Finny,

Every time this song pops up on my playlist I think of your dungeon. So here is an ode to grinding out deadlifts; BOTCH at my favorite Seattle venue.

Neck is something new for me to train directly aside from bridging. I geussed it about right.

Just found out the promotion I'll be fighting for has a 220 lbs weight class.
All is right in the world.

MMA:
2 hours

First off, I found out that two things I was hoping for this fight happened: 1. Its in a ring. 2. They have a 220 lbs weight class. Both of these play to my advantage, as I now only have to lose 10 lbs and cut a few to make weight as opposed to cutting 25 and some water by March.

Anyway:

Conditioning:
We did some conditioning work tonight. Each station was 2 minutes. Circuit done twice.

Station 1: Sledgehammer (10 lbs vs carpet remnats)
Station 2: Burpees (fuck!)
Station 3: Medicine Ball to the abs drop
Station 4: Thai clinch body shots
Station 5: Heavybag shoulder and sprint
Station 6: Medicine Ball rotating pass

It was a good workout, but the Burpees killed me tonight after doing them Tabata style yesterday.

Rolling:
Review of submission series
Armbars
Triangles
Leg Locks/ Kneebars

Mit Work:
Held the mits and the body protector (which did awesome) for a couple of guys, then did a round on it. I like it alot. Focused on stringing together combos with a kick at the end.

Impressions:
More later. Tamil is down for a visit. She did pretty well in class. Gotta run.
