Finnegan's Wake

So 205 for ya man?

Fuck no. Finn has given up teh heavy liftin'. He's going to fight at Welterweight from now on.

First things first, he needs a few months to puke himself skinny.

Cap two fingers down the throat or do you have a different method?

Oh, I"m sorry, but didn't I just Snatch Grip Deadlift your conventional max a couple weeks ago?

In seriousness though, once I get this fight in, I'm taking a good bit of time off of fighting (not training), probably 3-4 months or so that'll be mostly heavy lifting at my new weight class. If DEVILsSON can deadlift 700 lbs at 210 bw, I don't see why I shouldn't be able to; just need to get down to it first.

May Challenge: Attempt 2

Open Snatch Challenge: move as much weight in 3 min. using whatever snatch variant you like in 3 min.

65lbs barbell x 66 reps. Total weight moved: 4290 lbs

Impressions: Didn't beat my first score, but I feel this was a better workout as I was pretty tired by the end of it. Took a little bit longer rest during the challenge, too. I think I can push this one up, but I'm going to go back to the DB next time and see where I'm at there.

That double end bag recommendation you shot my way some time back was solid dude.
I set my stopwatch but often go well over the 3 minutes because I get so into it.
The immediate combination that has emerged is 1,2 left hook. bap bap bap. Fun shit man. I need to work on slipping more.

Ya, the DE bag was never really stressed in Muay Thai. You Mofo's know where I can find some good ideas/instructionals for it (besides KK's write up on it)?

Oh, and I don't blame you for not posting workouts Finny. I've noticed (in my log) even the good intentioned posts from others sometimes carry vague slights and swipes. It's tempting to get into distracting discussions about why I train the way I do, or defend tactics, philosophies, ideas... Doubts of others sometimes have a way of sneaking in and infecting concentration and confidence.

My boxing coach got me started, then I've done a lot of youtubing.
But I suck at it, so, errrrr...

I'm just having fun with it. I really get into a flow / zone with it. I'm sure it's a common experience.

Well, shit. I took my fight off of youtube today. Found out the promotion put it up on youtube. Much better quality from a diff. angle. If anyone wants to see it, chime in and I'll shoot you a PM.

I should clarify, post in this thread, and I'll PM you the link. Saves space in the box. Thanks.

I, for one, am very concerned with the well being of our brethren in Armenia.

A PM would be fun. And I think you should drop by my log and give inspiration when your log is going dormant.
