Media Figueiredo wants PPV points..

To add to my previous post look at the title fight between Joanna and Claudia on TUF 23 Finale. They both made similar money and people complained about that but Joanna went on to fight on a Conor PPV and ended up making about 2.2mil that year. She chose the lower base pay and PPV points then fought like hell to fight on Conor and Ronda Cards which is while she has made over 4mil in 2 years.
Why is Valentine's base pay low? She have ppv points? Also what is your source for all this?

What do you think "I'd rather take the money up front than wager a bet." means? The money up front is the guaranteed higher base pay. The wager is that he could get on a draws PPV. If you can't figure that out I can't help you.
Bc he was only getting $120 for most his title fights that's not a high base when a lotmof other fighters were getting more.

I mean, he'd probably take a loss compared to being paid just High Base. Most people I know didn't bother to buy the card he headlined, idt he will be a ppv draw (at least not to the point where he'd make more off PPV compared to High base)

LMAO

At least now you can see why fighters are choosing Bellator over UFC

Put this website into google translate its in polish.
https://www.mmarocks.pl/ufc/joanna-...u-najlepiej-zarabiajacych-polskich-sportowcow

She came in 11th richest person in Poland in 2017.

"In the second part of the list, there was Joanna Jędrzejczyk , who came in 11th place with earnings of PLN 8.7 million."

8.7Mil Zloty(Polish Currency) = 2.2Mil US at the time

It also says she made 1.8Mil the year before. Most of this is obviously from PPV points being on a Ronda and Conor card.

\ saved a ppv no less

I believe you about her but how do you know that's they get a small base n ppv or just high pay when other champs get high pay and ppv?

I thought champs automatically got PPV points. His manager should definitely get on that. Fig deserves it.
meh.... might not be worth it, flyweight interest is waning, maybe his manager thought flyweights dont draw so he negotiated him a larger base pay instead.

Just based on production costs, can almost guarantee you MM was a net earner for the UFC. Really hard to believe the promotion loses money on any of their events given how cheap they are to put together.
They traded him away for a retired fighter from a different promotion.

the main event not getting PPV points... can't make this shit up lmao. what a shitshow. who's getting all the PPV money then? oh right, the suits

Pink Goof making his champion and possible 2020 fighter of the year beg in public for PPV points and to be more valued.

Disgrace.

And? The promotion dumped him for a fighter who was retired. I think that directly contradicts your statement about MM being a net earner for the UFC. He might have been an earner but it damn sure wasn't good enough for the UFC.

The better explanation was the UFC cut him because they just didn't like working with him and he was publicly talking about how the UFC treated him. We know how much UFC events cost to produce, and we know what they pull in roughly. Those 2 numbers are far enough apart there is no reason to think the UFC lost money on MM events. And if the UFC cuts ppl for losing money, how are Overeem, Arlovski and JDS still in the promotion when they cash half a million dollars for losses against shit competition in a shit division?

Champs get the choice. High Base pay and no PPV points or Lower Base pay and PPV Points. Obviously he is trying to double dip. He picked the high bonus pay and 2 fights in he wants PPV on top of it.
Source?

Wait...You're saying that fighters who aren't even headlining, but just on the card can choose to get PPV points? Even without headlining? Yeah post your source bro

Let me float that conversation with you when Fig signed his last deal:

FigManager: We deserve PPV points if we win the belt.

UFC: No.

FigManager: OK cool we'll sign it like it is.

Fighters have no advocacy and the UFC is extremely punitive. The standing rule is "kiss the ring or else." Until fighters put together an association to collectively bargain for the most basic of reasonable terms, this is what we'll deal with.

I believe if there’s more than one title fight on the card all title holders can get ppv points.

I already posted 2 sources look at my later posts in this same thread.
