They’re really going all out. SFV divided the community on so many different levels. To make matters worse, Capcom rarely, if ever, listened and even if they did their communication with the community was generally through poor patch notes.

This was going on for the first few years of the games lifecycle and it was incredibly frustrating. Many claimed it was because the cultural differences and it could be (the whole save face thing) but not communicating with the people who keep the game alive really made for a toxic community.

Then, something changed. Capcom started a more focused community outreach. They brought on fan favorites to help, they held video patch note explanations and communicated changes they knew the community wanted. Funny enough, it seemed to have started after Ono’s departure.

The new team seems to be continuing this approach and you can tell how much of a difference this is already. The majority of those with hands-on experience seem to love the gameplay and casuals will have more options than just getting drowned out in Bronze everyday.

Capcom’s SF seems to be revitalizing its image yet again.

Just watching gameplay only, it looks so much slower than SFV. More methodical where every button matters. But, as others mentioned, far reaching normals (looking at you Urien HK) could be a game changer for certain characters.

It’s like slow gameplay with a burst mechanic.

Both Tekken 8 AND SF6 have me so damn hyped. I suck at fighting games but I adore playing through them in single player. Looks like I'm going to have to choose one to get good at.

New Street Fighter 6 updates look fucking insane. I love how they are going ALL IN on providing single player content. I hope Tekken 8 follows suit. I'd imagine we'll get Street Fighter 6 in 2023 and Tekken 8 in 2024. Fucking pumped for both these games. It's like we're in a new golden era of fighting games.

Yeah, while there are few changes to moves between games, it still plays pretty much like before. I can do moves I learned in Tekken 3 and it still works in Tekken 7.
