I watched the Megaman X vs. Justin Wong set they mentioned. That guy has an amazing Zangief.

CigarBob is up there too. Maybe even better.



Although he lost the set, CigarBob did great against Dhalsim who is another bad matchup for Gief. Also the Dhalsim combo at 7:35 is insanely hard to pull off for most people.

Finally gave in and decided to give 3rd Strike another go 15 years+ years latter, honestly was never very good at it even back then just playing with friends so it will be starting from a pretty basic level.

One advantage of the break I hope that I maybe able to take to an arcade stick, back in the day I always found it tough to break away from controllers as thats what I used for SF2 on the SNES and Tekken on the PSX but I always felt it was a bit limiting, could never do 360's or even 180's entirely dependably and the sore thumb issue limited how much I could practice.

Maybe giving SF6 a try to get in on the ground floor as well, one advantage of photo editing giant 100+ megapixel files files is I have a beast of a block PC that hopefully will take to gaming well.

I've been playing 3s off and on since it was released. It's gotten really popular again over the last 5 years. I'm still seeing new tech. There is a national circuit called Jazzy they've been running.

Yes I'v watched a few of the events, very entertaining, seems like the US scene tends to be more aggressive than Japanese events.

You could argue I spose that the way the scene grows now is quite healthy as it not depending at all on Capcom, its not e-sport as marketing like most of it is but rather just standing on its own.

I highly highly doubt it. I'm not a fan of MK gamestyle. I've always wished for a DCvC game because I'm a much bigger DC fan than I am a Marvel fan.

That trailer is so damn hype. They really fucked up by not having that ready in time for EVO. People would have absolutely lost their minds in that building.

And yes, if you want to prepare for Tekken 8 start playing 7, as this game historically maintains a lot of legacy shit. You'll likely have to adjust to 8, but you'll be in better shape if you start now.

Have any of you switched to a hit box style arcade controller? I really interested in converting over and wanted to know how the adjustment was for anyone who's done it. I've been playing with a traditional arcade stick for eons so I am afraid this old dog cannot learn a new trick...
