That new Tekken Cartoon series is out on Netflix, 6 episodes by the looks of it

I watched it all last week. Was actually pretty decent. They did a great job with the fight scenes using pretty much exclusively moves from the game. Really only thing I didn't like was the strange triangle shading on everything.

it does seem like a character were you can advance without having godlike hit confirms which is a bit less intimidating.

His set ups can get pretty advanced. He’s definitely a scrub smasher because it’s unblockable. Especially when you reset the opponent into denjin

He is, though Ken is definitely the better pick.

ken is only better at top level play. His corner game is actually more dangerous because of his options into damage. Ryu is scarier but the set ups are telegraphed.

I went Korean with no gate. Basically your gate is levers attached to the switches, with a rubber grommet to give it tension. Good for Tekken, probably not great for 2d games though.

I'll probably stick with the octagonial gate for now simpley because it seems to keep technique a bit more stable knowing up/down/left/right clearly but perhaps consider something else when its a bit stronger. The basic stuff actually came back faster than I expected, quarter and half circle moves close to 100% and I'd guess DP's at about 95%, the main issue is the double quarter circle for super arts in 3rd strike which isnt that good, I'm guessing because I'm a bit too forceful trying to do it fast enough to make them viable.

Ryu does seem like an easier start than most characters as I'm finding it more straight forward to get back into more of a simple counter style, the EX fireball, donkey kick and knockdown hurricane kick seem to make that a bit easier than with Ken, its mostly been SA1 so far just for the extra meter.for EX.
