Competed in the PlayStation MK1 tournament today.

Won my first match against a Baraka (I main Smoke) and was feeling myself, having made good reads.

Lost every single match after. Virtually all Kenshis. His ancestral Sento sword is too oppressive for me.

Back to the drawing board.

I made it to the finals tonight in the MK1 tournament. Proud of the performance. I had a harder time qualifying for the quarter- and semi-finals than getting through the finals themselves.

Final for gold was me (Smoke) and a Scorpion.

We went 5 rounds and of them, I won only one. He was clearly the superior player and had one combo that was unbelievable with two air juggle sequences that hungry-hippo’ed so much of my HP.

I happened to see Samurai Shodown pop up on Steam with all DLC complete game for $20 so I snatched that shit up.

We gotta keep SNK alive. That Fatal Fury COTW game is still blowing me away. A lot of "OH SHIT!" moments playing that with friends.

So far... not fucking liking this game LOL. Too slow and plodding, not a lot of moves.

COTW is so damn fire though. I put it over SF6 which I also think is a great game. Just feels tighter, and like at any moment you can turn the tides, or have them turned on you. The combos are so damn satisfying too.

We're getting so little new clips/vids or even just pics, all while flooded us for years of material about 16th version of previous chapter wich got milked to death and beyond

Yeah, I think the reality is that this game is a lot further out than we all expected. They should had waited another damn year or something to reveal it. I can't believe all they did was re-use the same footage we saw 3 months ago for this. Going to be quite a while for the release, but I'll still be hyped. The last game was a launch title for PS3!!!

They may indeed be very behind with works, but 100% they have artworks, concepts, stuff that can be showed

All they needed was pile up bit of new material to show, then disappear for months, then repeat gimmick till release

It doesnt bother me at all. I'm indifferent on a lot of the stylistic choices they made for the game. Ronadlo looks rushed, otherwise its fine on that front IMO.
