I'm actually saved the clip so I'm gonna share it in a little bit, I'll tag you and Crim.

@what-wut @OnionKnight86 @Crimson Fury saved these two from ranked and just threw in YouTube. Almost ended Punk's 22W streak in a JP mirror, and mirrors are my worst MU too. And somehow beat Joker's Lily in ranked, he invited me to a lobby after to play the set out longer which I thought was pretty cool.

The Joker match(s):

The Punk match:

Niiice match unlucky bro, Would that have killed since it's from three lights?

Most likely, or if not then like inches of health left and + frames. But for some braindead reason I mashed light four times orrrrrr simply didn't just DR cancel to complete combo with light+medium+Swipe+Level 3 LOL epic fail.

How does SF6 compare to 5?

I enjoy 5 as a time killer, even though I find it's kind of a cheap game designed for outrageous comebacks.

Graphics in 6 look almost like claymation to me, and it seems like visually the fighters are underwater. Things seem kind of slow to me. But I've heard positive feedback on 6, so I don't know, maybe it plays better than it looks.

I also see in the steam store there's some sort of ultimate edition which is really pricey. Does that essentially give you all the content they create for the game for it's entirety?

It's a far better game for sure, but there have been players including myself who have had some issues with inputs either not working at times or doing shit by themselves. I actually won a couple of matches today because of it and I thought to myself, "This game sucks." Lol. It doesn't suck really, but for some of us it's frustrating when your moves work when they feel like it.

The comeback element is probably stronger in sf6 but at least you have better neutral tools like decent walkspeed and decent normals range unlike sfv.

SF6 is infinitely better than SFV. 5 was so bad it was unplayable to me, and the times I tried to get back into it I just couldn't. SF6 hit the ground running and hasn't looked back. Much more fun, much better mechanics, overall superior and it's still early. SF6 can definitely have some outrageous comebacks though, some characters especially in Final Round than others (Cough, Marisa, Cough).

All that said, it does have a couple of massive outliers like a braindead corner game that is always heavy disadvantage if you're in it, characters with busted Drive Rush, shady inputs, stuff like that. But hopefully these get addressed in a near-future patch.

The more expensive version will give you the Season 1 pass with the game. It has the 4 DLC characters (Rashid, Aki (new character), Ed, and Akuma, I think in that order), extra costumes, bonus points for avatar customization, stuff like that.

7000+ for SF6 wow lol. I don't even know what to say. Just wow. Gonna be a historic event.

I know it's not going to happen, but there would be two things I wouldn't mind happening at Evo:

1. A Lily player winning the whole thing to throw these tier lists out the window.

2. A modern player winning just for the hilarity that would ensue.

The other day I was playing a good player who for some inexcusable reason switched to modern, I beat him but it was really tough. He picked Ryu and he was basically impossible to jump on, and did stuff that was basically impossible to do in classic , like instant reaction level 3.

It's busted for tournaments imo.

You going?

Anyone else modding the shit out of SF6?

Fluffy Mod Manager makes it easy as hell, just drop the zip of the mod on the managers UI and you can turn on and off mods super easy.
https://www.nexusmods.com/streetfighter6/mods/14

Outside of cool costume/color mods here are some that I think makes the game better:

Remove start-up spam: https://www.nexusmods.com/streetfighter6/mods/459
Remove all vocals from music: https://www.nexusmods.com/streetfighter6/mods/230
Remove character backlights: https://www.nexusmods.com/streetfighter6/mods/350
Remove hit effects: https://www.nexusmods.com/streetfighter6/mods/187
Change character special effect colors: https://www.nexusmods.com/streetfighter6/users/67135146?tab=user+files

Otherwise their is a ton of costume/color options to play with on Nexus.
