Fighting is a merciless game. Nearly every fighter is one beatdown away from a rapid decline. So who fell the farthest and fastest in one fight?

Rory Mac v Ruthless?
T-Ferg v Gaehtje?
R3 vs Holm?
Silva v Weidman?

David Loiseau after his fight against Rich Franklin.

Renan Barao after TJ Dillashaw beat the piss out of him in two straight fights.

Dominic Reyes's career went down the drain after his "loss" to Jon Jones.

Ferguson IMO, Silva may have snapped his leg but he recovered and was still athletic enough to put on a solid boxing match against Jake Paul at 48 years old

Ferg on the other hand, it wouldn't have been that surprising if he'd died from some sort of stroke/aneurysm after the Gaethje fight and he just had zero athleticism against Nate Diaz, guy's got the knees of a 70y/o at this point

Josh Grispi was supposed to fight Jose Aldo for the Featherweight title but Aldo pulled out and Grispi took on Dustin Poirier instead. He lost and never won another fight. After losing to Andy Ogle in a sign of sportsmanship Ogle told Grispi “You’re still a bad man” to which Grispi replied audibly “I used to be”. An incredibly sad moment until it came out Grispi was a POS. Apparently he liked to beat up his girlfriend and literally hang dogs for fun.

Most of these were not apparent at all after the fight in question. They did mark the beginning of the end but that was only clear in retrospect.

Chuck vs. Rampage 2 was an exception, in terms of the fame and momentum Chuck had at the time, that KO loss really killed off his shining moment at the top instantly

Ronda lost a lot from the Holly fight, too, she didn't recovered mentally for weeks. And it killed her confidence and aura of invincibility. So if it's truly based on the effects of one fight, that one was huge.
