So, the plea is directly related to not shutting down discussions for building a Trump hotel in Russia as soon as they originally claimed into Trump's candidacy?

Nothing in this Cohen development about any assistance or rigging for the election?

The plea is for lying to Congress (Obstructions of justice).

But that is just what he's plead guilty too. I'd assume if he's fully cooperating and pleaing that there are more serious crimes he was involved with. This was also brought by Mueller's team and not the SDNY who raided Cohen's office a few months ago.

We won't know the full extent of what happened until Mueller issues his report and any sealed indictments are unsealed.

But we got 3 big fish in the Trump administration who've plead guilty and felt the need to lie to Congress and/or the FBI during this investigation.

Yep. It's still very much that

Would Trump still making some amount of business decisions for Trump Co. In June of 2016 be illegal at all in and of itself? Or was it just their lies to avoid damaging pr result in this perjury trap on their hands now?

I wouldn't think him continuing business deals into the campaign would be a big deal, which makes me wonder why they would go to such lengths to attempt to hide it.

Trump lied about this because he thought lying about it would help him win the election.

In doing so he gave Putin or anyone else that knew he was lying leverage over him. If they had that leverage did they use it?

We know for a fact the GOP changed their platform in regards to Russia/Ukraine in a way that was friendly to Russia allegedly driven by the Trump Campaign. Why did they ask for the change in the platform? If there was quid pro quo with Putin for the change it's a very big and serious crime.

If they have all that other evidence they’d be better off leaving the tainted witnesses out of it lest they cast their taint cloud over the evidence too in a juries mind.
Not really. Testimony is often necessary to introduce other evidence and to explain it's relevance. Even if it's "tainted." You're rarely going to get the appropriate level of detail without them.

Prosecutors deal with this all the time. They frequently opt to bring the witness despite having a count for perjury or whatnot.

You really think these attempts wouldn't effect anything when it came to russia? You think, you do one thing we'll help you out with something else, wasn't known?

This. Trump thinks he is still dealing with NY tabloids and can lie about whatever he wants.

These retards left giant electronic paper trails. Look at Corsi who thought he could just delete emails from his pc and be set (Corsi deleted all his emails after the Dossier story broke iirc)
“I wore a fake mustache and glasses; they’ll never know it was me”

It's a problem but not a big one. You usually cure that with the same way you proved that they were lying: a bunch of corroborating evidence.

Agreed, the FBI/DOJ are not new to having less than trustworthy people testifying against someone. Just look at the central witnesses in the conviction of Whitey Bulger (Steve Flemmi, John Matorano, Kevin Weeks) those were three of the worst murderous criminals in American history, not some shitty white collar perjurers. Everyone already saw how the "you can't trust a liar who is getting squeezed by Mueller to save himself" defense worked in the Manafort trial surrounding Gates' testimony, Meuller's team crushed even Trump supporting jurors' doubts with a preponderance of corroborating evidence.

Take this with possible questions buzzfeed reporting President Trump offered the penthouse suit to President Putin as a part of his Trump building in Moscow.
