Rumored Ferguson hinting at upcoming fight

Nah man James Vick is getting the Khabib-Poirier winner

Didn’t he say before that he would be training in case anyone dropped out of the Dustin vs Khabib. Could that be what this is about?

Tony Ferguson is the kind of guy who would sneak into prison and kill Jeffrey Epstein for the Clintons.

dammm maybe Dustin struggling with an injury

Lol @ him fighting Connor

He called Connor out how many times ? 20? 30?

Yea Connor wants to fight Tony like he “stays ready”

It's Islam Machachev from what I'm hearing

Hearing from where?

Tony is now gonna fight guys who have barely cracked the top 15? No offense, but I'm gonna doubt your sources here LMAO.

I don't know why Conor McGregor is scared of Tony Ferguson. I see Conor either beating Tony like he did Eddie Alvarez or winning an early stoppage against Tony because Tony is rocked scrambling for single leg while Herb Dean stops the fight. LOL

However, if he goes passed 2 rounds, then Conor will go to the ground and give up his backside to his opponent, as he usually does when he is challenged. LOL

Ferguson vs. Not Khabib. Conor would be a fun fight and hype though.

Conor has 1 KO win in 4 fights above 145. His 2 losses are both by stoppage.

Tony is bigger and longer. Yes he can be hit. Even dropped here and there. But even if Conor was to do that, then what? Far better grapplers than Conor have wanted absolutely nothing to do with Tony on the mat.

Tony brings the pace and volume that Nate does, but adds in that he turns every opponent's face into a horror movie mask.

Eddie is tough, but a smaller LW who has shown he can be finished. Tony has never been KO'd or TKO'd, and Conor's power doesn't melt bigger guys like it does FW's (or in Eddie's case smaller LW's).

I think the fight would be less competitive than people realize, with Tony butchering Conor and gassing him out. Finishing in round 3 most likely.

Fair enough. You could be right, and that we have overestimated Conor's punching power evidenced by the fact that he couldn't KO a smaller boxer in a context where he didn't have to worry about TDs and strikes other than fists.

However, I give Conor McGregor a good chance because (1) Ferguson has not displayed an inclination to go for the takedown. This could make Conor less tense and help him manage his energy by picking his shots. (2) Ferguson gets dropped a bunch. It is only a matter of time until one of those shots keeps him grounded. Conor McGregor has the technique to land the shot.

I would still bet on Tony Ferguson to beat Conor McGregor, because Conor's deficient gas tank is a serious problem that cannot be non-artificially fixed with too much time away from the Octagon.

There's no way Khabib should turn Tony down on short notice.
They've had 4 camps preparing for eachother for fuck sakes.

Dustin, just go get "hurt" for the sake of the fans please.

Tony hasn't gone for TD's so much lately, but watch his fights vs Barboza, Thomson, Tibau, and Trujillo. In all those fights he takes his opponent down. Granted not in the traditional way as he uses the front headlock to snapdown, the Imanari roll, etc. but he's still effective at forcing grappling exchanges when he wants to. And in the case of Conor, he'd know what a huge grappling edge he has.

Keep in mind too that Tony has only ever been truly hurt twice in his entire career. If you remove off balance knockdowns where he's not hurt at all and bounces right back up, only Pettis and Lando have actually hurt him. Lando with a flush head kick that KO's most guys cold or at least puts them out to where they get TKO'd (like Thomson did to Nate), and Pettis with a perfectly place counter on the button. And apparently Pettis has a bit more power than people gave him credit for given he just flatlined a WW that had eaten bombs from Woodley and not been stopped.

Basically, Conor is a great FEATHERWEIGHT. He hits guys at that weight, and they crumble. Against a big LW like Tony I think Conor would find himself in quicksand by round 2 and completely drowning by round 3.
