Rumored Ferguson hinting at upcoming fight

Tweet from Tony can mean anything and nothing (at the same time). He probably woke up and going to kick some steel pipes or something

Yeah this

Considering the way tony talks/tweets this means absolutely nothing I genuinely have no idea how people are interpreting this as having a fight announced

Nah he is fighting George Masvidal, he was saying he would like to fight at 170 to keep himself sharp for the Khabib fight.

dat left hand would crumble Tony stiff...

LOL cardio king Tony would make Conor hold his pocket.

Ferguson's refusal to fight Poirier is going to haunt him.

The rest of the top guys at LW are tied up in matches and Ferguson gets to either sit on the shelf (again) or fight a guy with no ranking relevance.

The only guy in the top 10 that isn't tied up and might be of value is Gillespie.

Gosh lol. Tony Ferguson nearing a Anderson Silva 'esque win streak and still not getting a title shot.

To make it worse he's earned 9 performance bonuses in his last 8 fights.

Tony deserves a title shot.
Conor is only going to fight for big money and i don’t think a fight with Tony can bring that

Spot on. Both guys have earned that right. As much as Conor is hated he’s only going to fight a guy that garners a lot of interest.

I would love that fight but it won’t happen for the reasons you stated.

He's just letting people know he's no longer kicking steel pipes. He watched the movie Kick-boxer and moved on to trying to chop trees down with his legs for better shin conditioning.

I think money wise Tony prefers this if he gets PPV pay.

Tony is a crazy fucker. A normal rational person may factor that in, but I think he would fight McNugget for free.

I just would rather see Tony get his title shot.

And he's not fighting for a title why again?

Two of the failed fight matches with Khabib were his fault. Also as I stated he could have fought Dustin for the interim title and chose not to.

Choosing not to fight or fucking up a title fight chance lies solely on him. He's had his chances.

Yeah it's odd how many fights he's accepted without getting the shot. He could sit out and get it if he demanded that, at least I would think that being the case.

I think UFC should of offered him a real title fight after Pettis, and not done a Poirer/Holloway interim bout instead.

Have you considered that he's simply getting back to training consistently?

Totally.

So because he had a freak injury and then didn't want to have win back his interim belt that he never lost, it's completely on him for not realizing he needed to win his TWELFTH fucking fight in a row (most of his wins being finishes) to get a shot at the actual title.

Oh, and all of the past stuff aside, now us fans of the sport should just look backward and blame him instead of looking forward and saying "Well, shit happened in the past. But now we have a title fight next month and a guy with a 12 fight win streak ready to either step in if needed, or fight the winner at the end of the year (or early next year at the latest). But nah, let's make him win his 13th in a row so we know he TRULY deserves it."

What a joke.
