Fedor's training

Fuck you man. I just offered an opinion. Fedor trains his ass off and is a champion. I mentioned that in my first post. I also stated that Fedor has the freedom to train how he likes as we all do. Who cares how he looks. He trains to win fights in MMA and thats what he does.

The part of your response is when you said, "So much for the popular idea that Squats and Deadlifts are essential." What kind of response to that did you expect from S&P?

I don't care what some stranger on the internet thinks. That means you.

Not sure where to post this, but I found this to be very very interesting. Fedor's website has a Q&A section up, where people can write in questions to be asnwered by Fedor. I found this one particularly interesting:

My translation:

Q: Which exercises with weights do you use in your strength training? Maybe the power lifting trio or other exercises from that arsenal? What, in your opinion, should be the results in Bench Press, Squat, and Dead Lift for a heavy weight fighter that competes on a high level? Generally, I

TS lost me at the Rocky comparison.

QFT.

Like Rocky IV Rocky? Trudging through the snow and lifting logs and stuff?

Or like Rocky III Rocky, in an urban gym, swimming laps, and sprinting on the beach?

Or Rocky Balboa Rocky, buidling hurtin' bombs?

The best Rocky training montage is Rocky II, I dont care if you disagree.

"Chase that chicken around, you'll get speed! Greasy fast, eye-tallion speed!"

Genetics...Fedor even avoids sweets and greasy food, yet he's still chubby.

btw, it's been reported that Fedor deadlifts and squats between fights, someone also posted a pic in the Contenders of him benching. (wierd since Fedor is always asked in interviews what he does for S & C and doesn't mention it)

Can you find it?

Or at least help me with what to search?

thanks

it all makes total sense via the S&P if you understand fitness, just that he is so much more simplified... The only thing you need to realize is he has obviously worked out his own peaks so these things like DL & Bench are obsolete to him as far as fighting in the ring....

Do you honestly think he needs to improve on anything??? Why train for small gains of power if your knocking everyone out so efficiently !!!

Does this leave anyone else curious as to how much he deadlifted?

No, not really,,,at least since it came out that Kimbo benches more than Fedor, so right now, everyone is on Kimbo's nuts...
And you don't want to question Kimbo, alright ??
That would be stupid.
:icon_lol:

so youve assumed, from one video (that everyone has already seen anyway), that fedor does not weight train...?

Even worse, he assumed that because the top MMA fighter in the world does not weight train in that video clip, that the average person does not need to or would not benefit from it any more than typical grappling and conditioning work.

Awww, my hopes and dreams are crushed. My entire goal in life was for you to care that I think you're a dumbass.
