Fedor Throwback

He uses his relatively smaller mass as a speed advantage of large, nonathletic plodding HWs

Dan was 204lbs in this fight and 40 years old here-

Imagine if Fedor was fighting young fast MW's he would have been destroyed.

He fought it the perfect weight class for the time.
You sir, with all due respect, are a fucking MORON.... If being a middleweight was the "key" to beating HWs back then, then why were all of the middleweights cutting to duck the heavies?

I'm not new I've been seeing your old, dumbass for years. I remember you telling someone you used to train with some guys in Florida 20 years ago. You're an old, out of shape peasant who never trained.

Did you say years? Plural? With an "s"? Do you even math, bro?

fedor’s speed is breathtaking here. like a lightweight.

bitches on this thread obviously have not watched this video. nor were they into MMA at the time. just a bunch of TUF pussies.

But who gives a fuck. we probably won’t see anyone like Fedor ever again.

lol ANY of the current UFC HWs or for that matter ANY EVER.

Dans previous loss was to Jake Shields for the Strikeforce MW championship, before that he lost to Anderson Silva for the UFC MW championship.

Fighters stepping in the cage at 205lbs are MW fighters

What are you talking about buddy?? Dan weighed in a 207 vs Fedor which is weighing at HW. Furthermore, the last time he fought at 185 was a year n half prior to the Fedor fight. He had two fights at LHW in between Shields and Fedor.

Walking in the cage at 205lbs is MW fight weight.

Alrightfucker. Illfightyeferit. Younme.
Heavy is good, heavy is reliable. If it does not vork, you can always hit him vith it

Walking in the cage at 205lbs is MW fight weight.

Henderson was also heavyweight, same as Cormier, Couture, or others who fought at multiple divisions.

Henderson was champion of Rings HW tournament where he beat Minotauro Nogueira, Yvel, Sobral, so he had legit HW results in his career. If the fight is at HW, Henderson is also legit heavyweght because he also has Rings HW title on his resume.

one really has to believe that MW would be perfectly doable if he was close to say, 10% BF.

Still, he was killing guys with his speed, Nog in particular couldn't do much before getting punched or thrown again and again. While being still adequately strong at least, to hang with those guys.

Oh yeah if he'd been back on the Megamass 2000 he could've made MW.

207lbs against 223lbs Fedor, their lean muscle mass was probably pretty similar, Fedor could've lost 20lbs from his frame here and wouldn't be ripped.

I know Dan was 40, but Dan at 40 was better than Fedor from 2010 onwards. Fedor cut back on his training, abandoned his grappling and stopped lifting kettlebells, his coaches wanted him to retire but he'd just turn up and say it's up to God.

2005 Fedor at MW would have been a destroyer.
