Fedor - loses 3 fights and doesn't make a single excuse

Fedor's legacy is getting better and better with age, in the light of recent embarrassing behavior of top UFC fighters after they were soundly defeated, we can appreciate Fedor's attitude and his refusal to ever make excuses even more.

Now look at others
Jon Jones - excuses for close victory against Gus ("I partied, I didn't train, I gassed...")
GSP - excuses after losing to Serra
Anderson Silva - lol where do I even begin?
Big Nog - ...
Cain - sea level
Aldo - didn't accept McGregor's victory, in fact didn't even accept that the fight happened at all
Weidman - broken foot, bored, worst camp ever... tons of excuses after his first loss
Rockhold - still salty about Vitor loss, excuses after victory
McGregor - pretentious in both victory and defeat. excuses for victory against Mendes, excuses for losing to Nate (weight, cardio, effectiveness...)

Is there any elite fighter in the history of MMA who didn't make any excuses other than Fedor?

When did Jones said that? And i love how you criticize a fight...that he WON! Also how is that makes his legacy better?

If you have the stomach to listen through those crap excuses.

Ducked UFC his entire career. Beat cans. Got kod by a middleweight.

Embarrassing.

Does Fedor speak English?

Do you speak Russian?

And Jones won. It's more him talking up a victory, than making an excuse.

I really don`t see what he said has an excuse.
Everyone knows that Jones parties a lot and he was smashing everyone, legend after legend after legend, with 26 years old and already the best, it`s normal that he got cocky and thought it would be a walk in a park. If you go back and watch the interviews going into the fight, Jones seems really overconfident and thinking he was untouchable. But all this loses meaning when he WON that fight...You can`t really make excuses when you win, you are talking about fighters reaction when they lose and Jon for all matters, is undefeated.

The P4P GOAT Ronda never made excuses after Holm's fluke win

First of all, Jon is not undefeated.

Second of all yes he has a chaotic lifestyle, but then when Helwani asks him for any particular fight he of course mentions the one fight where a lot of people thought he actually lost. A fight before which Jon was boasting in what great shape he was and during the fight there was no sign of him having cardio issues or being in worse shape than in his other fights.

He also made pathetic excuses for his DQ LOSS against Hamill.

Lol, ofc it was an excuse, it was an excuse for why that fight was so close. And yeah, if you really do go back and watch the interviews going into the fight you will see how Jones talks about how motivated he is to break Tito`s record for most title defences in LHW history and how in great shape he is, how he has broken all his previous camps strength and cardio records just days before the fight etc etc. He was at the best shape of his career at that point.

He is not undefeated technically, but we all know Jones never really loss period. The fight with Hamill should have been stopped and the rule is just stupid. To me it seems you are a bit salty that Jones is taking over Fedor(and everyone) in the GOAT discussion.

he even never asked rematches to prove nothing...to asked now rematch to werdum signing to rizin makes no sense 6 years later..
but he said referee stopped his figth with hendo a little soon...(this is a excuse)

I don`t disagree with that, but you think he should have said what? Yeah, i have been in parties and doing coke all night so yeah, stay tuned? Every fighter says good things leading up to a fight, they are selling the fight...And in the end doesn`t really matter because he actually won. This thread is about fighters making excuses after they lose, Jones never loss it`s my main point.

Exactly. The first time he fought someone as tall as him which many experts predicted can pose a difficult challenge to him and he had huge problems in that fight. Jon never answered the critics that he relies on his reach and size advantage and ducked the rematch afterwards. Now he claims that the only reason that fight was so close was that he went full Mike Tyson before Douglas fight. With this sort of crap he wants to downplay the need for rematch with Gus. He knows that Gus is a tough fight for him

He was specifically asked about it and he said that in his opinion it was soon but he didn't want to complain and accepted the decision of the referee.

Rules are there to be respected and if you don't follow the rules you can expect that the ref will at one point DQ you. Which is why most fighters don't cheat as blatantly as Jon. Jones' cheating won him a lot of fights and he lost one fight which he could have won without it, but it's still a loss nonetheless.

Some are excuses and some are the truth. I don't get why some of you don't want to know the truth. You would rather a fighter lie and act "humble" rather then know if something happened that affected the fight..
