Well thank you, I appreciate that. I just can't resist slapping some of the soft tushes around here is all. As for my favorite posters, i'm always down with Zankou and JVS for obvious reasons. You, Pan, and Greoric definitely make me think about my own preconcieved notions. Lion Ex Machina, TeTe, Gandhi, sodapopinski, and Quipling are my soul brothers. Ripwarrior and C&T are good to kick around once in a while. KONG-D'SNT-TAP, The Higher Power, Bushido_Babe, bad seed, Anung Un Rama, and UpaLoompa would definitely get me to buy the first round of many. The one person I look up to most is Workers United, shame he doesn't post more.

What can I say? I'm not a good guy, i'm not a bad guy, i'm just the guy.

It was more an issue of (christian stupidity., I guess) them running around saying the most important thing in their life was God and that we needed more religion in society (school, etc).

So to stay consistent with their faith they'd have to vote for a party that's overtly hostile to their interests and also against what they believe god stands for, or not vote at all. Probably not gonna happen.

I am an expert on the black community. My 2 stepmoms were black (my first one died of brain cancer). I only lived, worked, played, schooled in heavily majority black community most of my life. I grew up in black households, volunteer in black communities and schools, etc.

I understand the history and issues that affect them. I also freely admit that they cause a lot of their own problems.

Everyone (liberal) wants to talk about the history but ignore the cultural issues. and yes conservatives like to talk about cultural issues and think the historical part does not play into as much as it does.

its not an either or issue, both play roles in the situation.

I grew up with a family of white people and I don't go around presenting myself as an expert on the white community. That would be pretentious and douchey and I'd rightly get mocked if I did.

It's been Pan, JVS and Zankou for a while now.

Rod1 also has great posts and it's nice to see a non US perspective.

SouthoftheAndes can get a bit nutty but I do enjoy reading his posts.

It's really funny to read a thread, where JVS has been completely absent, and suddenly a poster just namedrops him and insults him (or even worse, make up a position for him) for no reason. I guess they are not reflective enough to see how sad that makes them.

I rarely see him take personal jabs, but he can certainly be condescending as all hell. I would truly be the pot calling the kettle black if I took issue with that though.

If I had a nickle for every time someone brought up JVS in a thread he wasn't even posting in....it's funny but really pathetic for the poster that does it.

Wouldn't surprise me and as far as paid posters go every time Gotti Mcaren accused someone of being a paid poster i became a little more suspicious that he was a one himself.

WU, good call false dawn. Condescending as hell but if you took the time to seriously engage after about three page long posts you could get some good stuff. The Marxist historical perspective on power is a useful one, and he represented it well.
