Favorite dog breeds?

Bad in what aspect? Health or temperament?
Temperament. They're high energy dogs and can easily become bullies. The problem is they're not great at winning the fights they start. Most dogs I rescue take a few days to assimilate into the pack. These two just wouldn't assimilate and kept trying to be the alpha while also not having the ability to become it. So a bunch of vet bills putting their faces back together made me reluctant to rescue any more.

Sorry to hear that. Lots of good karma headed your way for rescuing animals. Good on ya.

Thanks. I've had good German shepherds. The one I have now is 100lbs of hyper teddy bear. I got him young though, his owner had run him over and tossed him in a bush so my wife and I took him in and got him the surgeries he needed. He's two now and an amazing dog.

Grew up in a tiny farm town, had a Rott and a Blue Heeler, they got along surprisingly well. At first they had that battle for dominance and eventually became friends.

Took many many years later but now I have a Chihuahua Poodle mix, he looks nothing like a poodle, just a Chihuahua with big ears and a long body. I had zero intentions of getting a dog again but just had that instant connection, I've worked from home since covid and having him around has been the best.

I've had around 4 different breeds since I was a child. So I have no preference really. I like just going to the shelter and see what dogs are there looking for home. Regardless what type of dog, I go by the vibe and connection and feel I get from that dog. And if there is a strong connection, we're good to go.

Golden Retrievers are the most friendly dogs but I also have a soft spot for Jack Russells even though they’re bat shit crazy lol

I have a female lab/staffy/hound mix and when she hit her first heat tried to maul my niece (3yo). Normally I'd put her down but my brother got her spayed and she's been the sweetest dog since then.
