It started as a side glance. Pecking at their food....then rubbing the fence. We thought the birds would settle down.

One day.....the birds were acting crazy.......started pecking at the fence....100....maybe 125....I don't know. Birds start circling. Men form a tight circle.

That first night, I talked to a fella. Jimmy from Detroit. When we woke up I saw his shoulder floating......tapped him on the shoulder and his body flipped and bobbed up....he had been bitten in half..............I'll never tend a bird again.
