So the one piece of evidence that makes me think it may not have been Conor is that they said the police had to connect the dots, which they where able to do because the guy came and gave a statement before the crime was reported. However had it been Conor surely the woman would have known straight away who it was which makes me think that maybe it was someone less well known.

The memo said that they had 24 hours to question the MMA fighter which means that he was arrested. They can arrest you and hold you for 24 hours without pressing charges. Then they have to either charge you or release you.

The "Irish sports star" who was arrested and questioned provided a DNA sample and claimed that the sex was consensual.

I'm not really sure why you are still posting mate. You are hovering all over a wasteland thread on a sub-forum about a rumoured incident that is not being reported in the press due to legal reasons. Why you wasting your time and repeatedly saying we should wait for evidence - yet you're still sat on this thread posting over and over. Youre in the wrong place. If you dont like the discussions dont get involved. Most people here hope it isnt true but acknowledge the fact that its starting to look more likely. As mma fans and conor being the biggest mma star ever, of course we will be interested and analysing what we can. Not having a go pal, its just youve made your point. We arent going to stop talking about it

The woman did not name the accused initially out of fear.
 
The silence from Mcgregor regarding this incident speaks dividends. If he was not involved he would have already cleared his name but obviously he doesn't want to say anything that could be used against him in court. Only time will tell.
What I find most disturbing here is how some people can defend him and say he definitely didn't do it when they know nothing about the incident. These people could be on a jury some day and they are that biased and ignorant, scary thought
 
Im making my points to the points that arise. Just because somebody makes a statement does it mean I cant differ with it and propose an alternative to the conclusion they have come too? Have I asked anyone to stop talking about it?

That works both ways though mate cos it must by definition also apply to those who say he defrinitely did do it, who in truth, also know nothing about the incident

The tampon thing was hearsay sourced from a Whatsapp group. Don't put any stock in that.

Shortly after the alleged sex attack took place in a penthouse room at a south Dublin hotel the police revealed that the survivor was “too terrified” to make a formal statement to the police.

On Monday morning, Dec 10, 2018, police were called to the woman’s home where she made an initial complaint. She alleges that she met the famous Irish sports star in Dublin while socializing with friends. The woman and sportsman, who were known to each other, then went to a high-end south Dublin hotel where she alleges the sex attack took place.

Police found her “bruised and battered” in her home and removed bloodied clothes from the premises before the woman, a mother of one who is in her 20s, was taken to the Sexual Assault Treatment Unit at the Rotunda Hospital for treatment, by ambulance.

They said, “At the end of the day, there is no doubt that this young lady suffered a horrendous ordeal – the examinations and all the evidence shows that she was raped and very badly assaulted in that penthouse suite.”
 
It will be interesting if we see Conor at his hearing tomorrow. Under Irish law he should still be able to leave the country while being investigated unless specific orders were given for him not to leave.

You are making this thread a very frustrating read. Like every third post is you yammering on and on about the same stuff. We get it, these are rumors and should be treated as such. Move on.
 
The rte leak is legit - FACT, I looked into every word on that doc it's either legit or the most expert fake leak EVER

That was my initial thought as well, but the longer this takes the more inclined I am to believe that the victim will do a deal with him and say it was consensual.

Don’t know if the prosecutor can then still go ahead with this case
