I still worry about bots. I'm sure its already happening there too, but X is literally riddled with Russian (amongst others) bots who either provide canned responses or are AI driven.

It's a huge problem and is basically modern day propaganda.

They need to figure out a way to weed out these things so that only real people can converse.

I don't even know if any company can do that.

The rise in white nationalist speech and CTs on Twitter is well documented by various researchers. I can read their research—and do my own—on a thing called “the internet.”
I don’t need a Twitter account. Musk is threatening to sue those researchers. I just linked you to a source on that.

It’s laughable to call it a free speech platform when Musk has repeatedly banned journalists he doesn’t like, or banned or throttled links to competitors like Substack and Instagram.
It’s rapidly becoming a disinformation and hate speech platform—which of course, suits conservatives just fine. Your biggest complaint about the Dorsey era of Twitter was that your bullshit CTs and white nationalist nonsense wasn’t tolerated.

The scams are nuts and they do not care at all. I work for a company that sells medical products that are sold at retail prices between 2,000 and 6,000 dollars. There are scams on Facebook advertising our products for $49.95 and $99.95. Weekly we get people calling us wanting to know where their products are. We have to tell them that it is a scam on Facebook and that they need to contact their bank or credit card company. We have contacted Facebook about it and they do not care. It is wild how people think they can get product worth 2,000 - 6,000 for 49.95 or 99.95.

Right now billionaires own all the media, and media is controlled by corporations. The stories they chose to address are very predictable, stories that should be covered get a blip.
The fact our Supreme Court is bought should bother people, but they discovered even more trips Justice Thomas decided not to declare and the media does not even bother to address the obvious conflict. The US government sold themselves out to the highest bidder and now those bidders control all the information. The middle class is fucked.
