His victim list is very impressive. He beat all of no.1 HWs in last ten years. Fedor, Cain, Overeem, Nog. No one else has similar list. Hard to admit he is tough. Maybe that JDS ko degrades the image.
But Hunt in best HWs list must be a joke.

Sylvia ahead of Cain and Hunt. I would have zero problem with that. Sylvia was more active, and has 5 belts.

My reaction to this post is the same as the girls, minus the good looks & tits... Take the belt away from Sylvia and who did he beat? Assueiro? Monson? He only has 3 ok wins in his resume and that's Arlovski, Ricco Rodriguez (if you even wanna count that) and fuck it lets give him Jeff Monson. Cain has way better wins and so does Hunt. Belt or no belt, it's about who you beat, when you beat them and how you beat them.

Meh, Cain beat TRT Bigfoot 2x who beat Arlovski & Fedor, slaughtered Rothwell when he actually mattered, doomed JDS who "dusted" Doom, and also dusted Nog who had just "dusted" Sylvia & Couture. Not to mention Arlovski has 2 wins over Sylvia too. Hell, Arlovski himself now has a better resume than Sylvia.

Well, he won PRIDE Grand Prix, and that is the title of same value as divisional title.
As time passes by, people tend to give more value to recent fighters, also lot of fans haven't been following MMA for that long and haven't watched older fighters. For example, people tend to forget that Herring and Fujita were ranked as top 5 fighters, or that Sakuraba was no. 1 LHW and that he beat guys like Rampage, Randleman, Belfort, Guy Mezger, Ken Shamrock, Funaki who were about the same weight as Cro Cop who was just 2-3 kilos above LHW limit weight in his prime.

After the top 5 that's where it gets confusing

6. Barnett - Went 18-1 before the Crocop losses, I think Crocop was just a fighter that had his number and he matched up badly with. He had wins over Schilt (two) Couture and Severn in this time, winning the UFC title and winning and defending the Pancrase title twice.

7. Crocop - his career really went downhill at the end but he had a staggering amount of wear and tear after over 100 combined fights by the time he was in the UFC. Barnett, Coleman, Wand, Randleman, Igor, Yoshida, Saku, Herring, Alex E. Crocop in his day was the Liddell of the heavyweights, perfect sprawl and brawl and unmatched standing. If he had of hung the gloves up earlier he would have been top 5 but he fought too late damaging his legacy.

8. Coleman - won 2 UFC tournaments and the UFC title in his 1st 6 fights

9. Bas Rutten - 22 fight win streak. 10 years without a loss

10. Overeem - wins over Arlovski, Lesnar, JDS, Mir, Werdum, Nelson, Rogers, Hunt, Sergei, Belfort, Igor.. Overeem has a lot of losses but his wins are some of the most impressive in heavyweight history.

As much as I love Hunt he would bearly crack the top 20 in my eyes.

I can see your point with The Reem or JDS. (Both were champions of major MMA organizations).

You simply have to love a fighter that has NEVER held a belt in a major MMA organization of a sport over 25 years old, and is still considered a top 5 GOAT.
