Right so Tim Sylviais a greater HW than Werdum? Title defenses mean Jack shit in all time rankings. Werdum has beat Cain, Reem, Fedor, Big Nog, Hunt, and on and on. He's clearly a top 5 HW and probably #3 behind Fedor and Nog. Who combined have 0 Ufc title defenses
 
Btw Crocop is not a top 5 all time HW. In terms of skill maybe but all time rankings are based on wins and he just doesn't have the resume Reem, JDS, Cain or even Barnett has
 
Hunt and Cain are jokes. Overeem, cro cop, he'll even Coleman deserve to be there more than those 2

He doesn't need a resume. Your definition of a resume is clinical, calculating, and reeks of a studious armchair quarterback that believes he is the author of history. The Utah Jazz never won the big one but it is recognized Stockton and Malone are all time greats. Fedor and Nog are great in part because they were LUCKY to have wins over Crocop, who is only slightly less great. Factoring CC's K1 career makes inactive bigs like Cain look pedestrian. CC is number 4, Couture is 5, and Cain is a fringe 10 due to inactivity.

Lololol at Couture being ranked higher than Cain. He literally isn't better than Cain at any aspect of mma and Cain has a far better resume.

You said it all when you said my rankings were studious and calculated, IE like Mose analysis should be. Not governed by nostalgia and emotions like yours seem to be.

You are a goddamned geek. No ability to discern the times and how the sport has evolved over the years. Cain is a well groomed fighter with great wrestling and cardio but he is no legend. If Crocop was groomed in his 20's to fight in a deteriorated HW division with no Fedor or Nog in his way things would be different. He had a real job in his twenties, fought amateur boxing and dozens of K1 battles before UFC became big business.
Just realized you are bad-mouthing Couture but it all applies. Couture beat other fighters who shortly thereafter beat guys like Nog, Werdum, and Barnett. Couture started his career older than Cain is now and STILL accomplished more. Cain is an absolute joke standing next to Randy until he proves otherwise.

They aren't jokes but they are fringe top 10 HW GOATS who deserve to be mentioned alongside guys like Mir, Arlovski, JDS, etc.
 
Cain is overrated for a lot of reasons because he and JDS arose right as MMA was peaking in popularity which skews heavily the spotlight on their accomplishments in an exceptionally shallow division.

No Coutue didn't. You make up all these fake accomplishments Couture has but his two best HW victories are Tim Sylvia and Gabriel Gonzaga-. Btw lol at saying Couture beat guys who beat Nog,which he didn't, you know who beat Nog? Cain did

But totally beating Gonzaga and Sylvia is better than beating Rothwell, Dos Santos, Nog and Brock.

Crocop almost has an argument but there is literally no argument that makes sense that favors Couture. Besides the fact nostalgia makes people stupid.

Grandfather of heavyweight mma. He was considered the p4p best heavyweight for years back in the day. And they probably would beat him considering he was fighting in the infancy of mma lol igor was fedor before fedor
 
Couture beat PRIME Sylvia, who dusted Arlovski twice. Arlovski beats Werdum same exact timeframe. Couture beat surging Belfort for inaugural HW championship along with Maurice Smith. Pedro Rizzo dusts Arlovski and Barnett. Who did he lose to? Twice? Couture. Where is Cain's or JDS LHW championships over elite GOATS in that division? Nowhere. Couture is a DEAD lock for number 5 behind Crocop and all the rest and it's not even close.
 
He should put himself there, but there are better guys than Hunt. I'd put Mirko, Randy, Sylvia, Barnett all above Hunt.
 
Would anyone put Pedro Rizzo at 10 or 11 above Coleman?
