I’m referring to folks downplaying Islam’s double digit win steak because “he didn’t beat anyone”. My point is wracking up a double digit win streak in the toughest division in the ufc is by itself a worthy reason for a TS. Winning that consistently at that level is hard as hell, damn near impossible actually!! This Evloev near miss is just another data point supporting that. By all accounts Evloev should’ve steam rolled this guy, he’s a “can”.The org is a lot more important than the division. You can find guys in any division that are can crushers. You just haven't heard of most of them because no one's scouting them. But they're out there, waiting to be exposed.
Well yeah but he's acting like it's egregious or something that the #1 guy would wreck the #10 guy. Isn't that usually obvious?Because Volkanovski is the champion of his division?
He’s lost fights but got the decision before
Yeah I remember stun gun calling out gsp too lmao.He keeps calling out Volk.
He's super slow standing and doesn't have much power. His pressure and volume on the feet is good and he's not sloppy technically but pretty basic and hittable. His wrestling is good but guys like Lentz and Grundy could largely match it so you gotta assume when he faces better athletes with good takedown defense and reliable cardio he will struggle. I'd love to see someone like Arnold Allen vs Evloev, even Kattar, Bryce, Sodiq would be good.

Still think Evloev is Volks toughest test or one of them?![]()
