Some guys are happy just to get a slightly bigger paycheck and get to fight on the UFC for one night, this Lopez guy was game af. Nothing to lose and threw everything he could for 15 mins. Dude walked in, rocked and nearly subbed Eveov in round 1, then nearly subbed him twice in the third. Cardio failed him a bit coming in short notice. His record isn't stellar, but with a full camp and some focus he could make a tidy run in featherweight. Dude is massive for that division as well.

Yes his ground game is legit. He did look a bit clueless on the feet though. Poor movement, didn’t circle out once, moved in straight lines. He needs serious work on his striking. If I’m Evloev and I fight him again, I keep it standing.

And I think that's his fight style. Go for broke all the time, don't play it safe. It's the best way for an underdog to win, create as much chaos as possible.

It almost got him the win a couple times, as well as getting him punched in the face several dozen times. Helps to have a solid chin which he clearly does.

I want to see this guy back in the Octagon for sure. No doubt he'll be a regular now, everyone who watched that fight became a Lopez fan.

he has time to improve still. Volk is better, but Movsaev needs to get into some tougher fights and work on correcting some of his defficiencies. Ive never been impressed by his striking defense, and his jitsu needs to improve. His cardio looked much much better though, he was calm out there.

Yeah for sure Lopes is a tough nut.

Evloev is probably a tough match up for anyone else at featherweight, but Volk's striking and wrestling defense will absolutely piece him up.
