I've purchased goods from Silk Road 1, Silk Road 2.0, Dream, Agora, Evo (pre-exit scam) and Alphabay.
I maybe did 80 goods purchases - just simple, legal things like flavoured tobacco and such - and only got scammed once or twice?
Once you had a feel for the tempo of each market you could avoid the scammers pretty easily. you could also keep an eye on vendor public keys and track them from market to market. Post the original SR 1.0 bust, a smart man would keep an eye on several markets due to closure risk and identify legit vendors that spanned multiple markets.
Overall it was easy and painless.
