Given the size of the all new cast, I felt like this would have been a much better 6 or 8 hour miniseries than a movie. Because they did try to give each character some kind of arc but they were so underdeveloped that it felt poorly executed. Like the tech eternal how did he go from giving up on humans after Hiroshima to having a family? I also want to know how the community/cult in the Amazon work, the relationship between Thena and Gil seems very superficial, it's just Gil wanting to protect Thena. And these are not even the main eternals.

I don't have a frame of reference as I never read these comics. So I have no preconceived notions or expectations. I didnt love it, but I liked it. I think it was casted just OK, and I do believe they wasted Jolie. Very 1 dimensional character. I put it ahead of Captain Marvel, Captain America, Iron Man 2, Thor Dark World.....

Eternals sucked. Whoever wrote the dialogue should choose a diff profession. Story also sucked. Characters not likeable.

If Starfox is an Eternal and is Thanos' bro, I guess Thanos is also an Eternal. Is Icarus a bad guy in the comics? Is Phastos gay in the comics? Is the fast girl deaf in the comics? Who was the voice in the post credits Black Knight scene? What are Black Knight's powers?
Yes, Thanos is an Eternal in the comics.

No, Ikarris isn't a bad guy in the comics. He is the main guy in them usually.

Makkarri is male in the comics and not deaf.

Not sure about Phastos. But I doubt it.

Pretty sure that was Dr Strange's voice.

Black Knight is usually just portrayed as a normal human, but is the ancestor of King Arthur, and has magical armor, and the Ebony Blade.

I thought it was:

Kangs voice from the Loki series.

No it's Mehershela Ali , who will be playing Blade. So yeah its Blade.

I'm not using tags because this movie has been out for awhile now.
Huh, interesting. I guess given the properties of the Ebony Blade, it makes sense.

Didn't realize this was on Disney+ already. Will save it for this weekend to watch with the wife.
If you’re a completionist…..do it. If you’re okay not watching a film……skip it. It will only piss you off with the amount of questions it will generate.

Just looking at the trailer & aesthetics I have a gut feeling that its run of the mill shit superhero Hollywood B film. I'll watch when I'm drunk & bored enough.

Once the movie hits Disney+, I think it's safe to drop the spoiler tags.

Haven't seen it yet. Will this weekend

the reminded me exactly of what I thought it would....the inhumans tv show. Something about every scene felt boring, I dont know how to describe it. It was like scene after scene just flowed into each other without a sense of connection. Maybe it was the way it was filmed. It seemed like the cinematographer was 100 yards away and zooming in or something. I just never felt a connection to any character. Would have been better if not a MCU movie.

i've stared at toilet paper more exciting than this movie.

Watched it the other night on D +
Too rushed and too many questions... Like... if you're a Supreme Galactic being that can create entire worlds and galaxies but yet you create an eternal that can't speak ...... what the what

I thought it was ok. Would have been better as a stand alone not a Marvel universe thing. I took it like the celesstial is god and the eternals are angels. The only one of them I liked and thought was cool was Gilgamesh and the indian guy. I didn't like anyone else in the movie.

Went into this one with low expectations and I loved it.

I would normally say Disney went woke as usual with the casting but the diversity was really a key element here, all created by the same “God” yet all unique in their own ways from looks to powers. Also usually in big casts there’s always one or more unnecessary characters but I think everyone fit in well here.

So the Celestials have to be the ultimate big bad right? Also if they created Thanos why didn’t they stop him from zapping half the population? It was clear they needed the earths population as high as possible to create the emergence. Maybe that will be fleshed out later but kind of a big plot hole for the MCU to have currently.

Also technically isn’t Eros brothers with all the externals? Not sure how that works. He also looks like a little kid where his brother was a giant Grimace. I don’t read comics so found that part a little confusing.

overall great story and it sets up a lot of stuff for the future. Will be fun to see the stone celestial in random movies in the future too.

8/10

Like how did multiple mountains emerge from the ground in the middle of the ocean but not alter earths water level, atmosphere or rotation at all? The movie was dumb but I can only suspend disbelief so much.

Just watched it tonight. Went in with low expectations so it was about what I expected. Ambitious plot with 10 main characters so I can’t really fault the director. I gave it a 7 but it’s probably closer to a 6.7 - 6.8

For a modern marvel movie the fight scenes were definitely meh. (Besides the deaf girl fight)

It was a decently emotional movie and I feel like it was more a drama and the director would be better at that then superhero movies
