Dustin got knocked out by Justin not long ago, he went life and death with staph BSD and is in general in the worst form of his life.

Islame, as any other, does not get any extra points because his nuthuggers claim he can beat anybody. He has to fight and beat all upcomers and put on a compareable title defense streak, preferably over LW, to proof that he really cleaned out his category.

Dustin is a significantly better grappler than Leon, and a better striker. He's been subbed the 3 best grapplers in the UFC with 44 subs between the 3 of them, and Leon hasn't fought anybody who's as big of a submission threat. RDA didn't have the wrestling to get him, but he went to split decision with Gunnar Nelson, nearly got KO'd by Nate Diaz, and ended the fight on bottom getting pummeled against Colby on a 2 layoff with a broken foot. Leon has 1 come from behind finish in his last 8 fights, while Islam has finished 7 of his last 8.

Defending belts doesn't mean you "deserve" shots in another weight class. You may get it for promotional reasons, but people who fight in the actual weight class deserve shots, because they actually fight in the weight class.

dont think they will ever be fighting anytime soon, they have trained together closely recently
dustin is going for the retirement and trying to get as much money fight as he can, he aint stupid, mma is too harsh for oldies

but yea islam will have trouble with bigger opponents, but his grappling IQ is simply too high. probably a split decision win for islam if he fight edward
