A single Kettlebell can be used for a true full body workout.
The soviet soldiers used to train that way. And it's less static and more fluid than dumbbell training, thus more athletic.
This motherfucker is the God of Kettlebell and this video alone is all a man needs to be fit lol:
But again, give me a bench and a full DB rack and I will take it over a single kettlebell.
I agree and I like kettlebells but just because you can get a more fluid motion with kettlebells, doesn't mean it can provide a better full body workout and be more athletic.
If limited by budget, you can get much more weight per dollar from dumbbells than kettlebells. A lack of weight/loading is often the limitation to a workout when gyms are closed.
Other than swinging motions, I prefer dumbbells for almost all exercises. KBs are also better for cleans, slightly better for getups, slightly better for carrying. I'm taking DBs though for any pressing, snatching, rowing, arm work, shoulder raises, etc. It all depends on your goals and what exercises you plan to program into your training.
