Does Dr Strange have time to prepare?
Under my rules, no. Both are 30 or so feet away. Both don't know each other.

Glad you enjoyed it. I updated the OP with honorable mention to you for the inspiration. :)
Awe thx. That was nice and I was only joking and did not expect it truly but...

...but ...could you make the font bigger for my name. Maybe about this size. Oh and change the colour.

Hadn't thought about Pops making earth a power supply for his kid... But as we've seen, he did leave his essence on there in the form of a plant... so we could very well be in for a sweet awakening in the Infinity Warz movie.

That said... does that mean Pops still exists?

Ego could exist or like Groot Jr it could simply be that vestiges of his energy and life force were left that started new life or still give StarLord access to power to draw from.

Just because the origin of the power (EGO and his planet) died does not always mean everything done has no legacy or effect after.

I actually think it would make less sense to not, at least recognize Starlord as a mutant with a Human and Celestial parent. HIs genome has to be unique and that certainly leads to the suggestion of powers.

The same Eye of Agamotto that takes a few seconds and a few hand gestures to set up? In the second GIF, Kaecilius came sooo close to stabbing Strange before Stephen activated the Eye. Imagine if Kaecilius had just a fraction of Supes' super speed.

That was novice Strange, though. The one that appeared in Ragnarok stands a much better chance.

Thanks. I put a bit more effort in the Iron Man vs. Rocket battle.

A bit disappointed there is no love yet for the Hulk vs. Groot battle. I was proud of that one. I thought it was my most clever among the battles. To me, it felt like a Pixar short film. There's some tenderness, humor, action and a bittersweet ending.

As i scrolled down to the Groot/Hulk story I kind of instantly knew where it was going and was like...

Wait... isn't this still too soon.

Then as it unfolded I was like...

but then after going thru the 7 stages of grief once again (thx DL ) ...

And once I returned to my rational head thinking of all those splinters I realized that Hulk and Groot were fighting out in a field and now, when I returned months later that field was alive. Alive I say ...with the sound of music

Real unfair fight we got here. It's still a closer match than the Avengers vs Justice League.

That was actually my favorite one.

Avengers absolutely murder the Guardians.
Thor or Hulk could singlehandedly beat the entire team alone.

So happy you liked the Hulk-Groot battle.

Btw, Groot wasn't dead at the end. He can still regrow his missing body parts. For some reason, Mantis was the only character that died... 98 times.

DC
strongest hero - Superman
strongest villain so far - Ares
potential strongest villain - Darkseid

Marvel
strongest hero - Thor or Hulk
potential strongest hero - Captain Marvel
strongest villain - Thanos

Edit: I'm assuming strongest means most powerful, right.
Sentry?

Not in the movies yet.
Oh yeah, fair play. I wasn’t thinking movies only with his potential picks, but then it clicked that Darksied and Captain Marvel will be in future films.

A Sentry film could be fantastic, now I’m thinking about it. For those that don’t know, Sentry is basically Marvel’s Superman, but with severe mental health issues... like a super-powered dual personality.
His power level is equal to a million exploding suns....

I think Sentry works best as a supporting character rather than in his own solo film. Alexander Skarsgard is my pick for Sentry.

I disagree with Iron Man beating Rocket. Rocket has much more advanced technology. He’d just turn Tony’s suit off.
I'm trying to recall but has Rocket displayed the ability to shut down techs or used a device to shut down a tech in the movies? If not, then it's not applicable here. Plus, there is no prep time. The characters here are only using gear and weapons what they usually bring on an average day.

Must be really jealous of the Guardians to make this obvious spite thread

smh

While I think the GOTG movies are vastly superior than The Avengers movies, The Avengers are clearly the more powerful team by a long shot.

Considering his history with Hulk, Iron Man, Spider-Man, the Inhumans, etc. and being a lesser known character, he certainly would work better in a team-up. Hs story arc could be similar to the LEGION television show in how it’s filmed. Poor tormented fellow.

Eric Northman as Sentry is spot on, nice cal.

You know too much.

Geez, you're so cranky today. I love the Guardians btw. This was just a fun and humorous project that stemmed from posters' discussion about the match-up. Don't take it so personally. ;)
