Precisely the reason I could never get into dc comics. Where's the struggle?

In DC it's all about the psychology of the individuals, their psychology defines their powers rather than in the marvel universe where their powers tend to define their psychology.

That's kinda why I like DC so much. Batman, no powers just human like many of his arch enemies, joker, penguin, Dr Strange, Enigma, Cat woman etc.

Superman is near enough a deity and his arch nemesis? Lex Luthor, zero powers.

It's the lack of powers in key hero and villans that leads to more interesting writing. I see marvel in contrast as mostly wish fulfilment and power fantasy.

Guardians could've had another couple of winz if they matched up right.

Mantis vs. Hulk - Hulk grabs her violently but when he touches her, she tames the big beast with mental images of love & he turns into Banner... while still re-gaining his senses Mantis takes his back & chokes him out.

Groot vs. Hawkeye. Groot just stands there secretly running roots underground toward Hawkeye. Bewildered Hawkeye makes Groot look like a pin cushion with all the arrows sticking out of him. Groot roots burst out of the ground all around Hawkeye & wrap him in a cocoon of branches squeezing in on him like an anaconda. Hawkeye loses conciousness as the victor proclaims... "I am Groot."

Starlord also survived out in space longer than he should have. He has powers he is unaware of. Captain America is overrated these days. I had him in old comics back in the day, he wasn't the deal he is now. I never had GOTG comics, to be honest. Cap was a guy (like wolverine) who would always Get his ads kicked by the new character that was being introduced.

Agreed on most of them my only exception is the Cap vs Star Lord fight, I'm gonna go with Star-Lord.
(not to mention I suspect he still has some mojo left in him or he will get it back in the 3rd movie)

It can absorb energy but it isn't unbreakable. Adamantium is almost indestructible probably below URU and URU us a magical metal only Dwarves can shape.

Thors hammer is supposed to weight a lot.. Like, a lot. Weight crashing down is not kinetic energy.

This analysis is rotten. Leaves out major intangibles. Guardians are luckier. Hawkeye wouldn't just kill that alien lady like that. Groot would make hulk laugh. Gamorra vs Cap is a good fight. Chris Pine vs Black Widow is a better matchup. Drax and Thor would laugh and get drunk together before the fight. They both enjoy pints. Then it's a drunken battle.

Superman doesn't have superpowers away from our sun. Galaxy is large. Fight wouldn' be on earth. Starlord blows his head off.

Superman abilites are based on sun classification - hes pretty average with M stars -- but hes only at below half potential with our sun -- get him near an O star and he could smash planets.

In the MCU, Groot, nor Draz, nor Gamora have displayed any meta human traits. All the guardians need weapons to win.

MCU Thor and Hulk will merc every on Guardians and the Nova Corp.

I think Star-Lord is still a celestial... it's in his blood. His dad just created that big energy system that helped fuel his powers... It took pops what a million years to develop... but I'm hoping that since star Lord got a taste of it... that's some kind of shortcut that will trigger his inner abilities & at some point he is on the short track to developing them.

But yeah, if Star Lord has no special abilities yet, Steve winz. Star Lord would've totally won the dance off though

I'm with Wildo.. Peter is special no way he loses to Cap.
