Law Don't let your kids chemically transition

No, you don't understand that because it's not true. Kids that are five years old don't even know that the TV show they watch isn't based in reality, they cannot distinguish between reality and imagination. Call me crazy but if you cannot distinguish between what is real and what is unreal, then you cannot know that you are "in the wrong sex body"
And if you haven't been a 5 year old being bought pretty dresses and your mother sitting you down every morning for an hour to go to school you can't establish whether you would like boys or girls.
Were you afforded that luxury?

None of this shit would change the fact that five year olds don't know the difference between reality and imagination, they live halfway in fantasy land and halfway in reality, almost like you are right now.

We’re at the point the poor kids who may have been misled (I’m saying that as nicely as possible) into taking puberty blockers in middle school are starting to become young adults, and realizing how they were taken advantage of as kids.

Expect more stories like this. And many others who are now “pot committed” to their new gender identity. And along the way there’s probably a few who it actually helped.

But to my un-educated view, it sure seems to be being over prescribed based off hype and rebellion and desire to fit in amongst an age group that has always done edgy things in order to try and discover where they fit into the world. Thankfully being emo isn’t permanent except for embarrassing photos to pop up now and then.

There’s a lot of thing I thought I knew for sure when I was a teen. I thought I was 100% certain of how I wanted to live my life and who I wanted to be. Was very very serious about certain things like what my career would be. Here I am happy as a clam 10 years later and what I’m doing couldn’t be further apart.

Part of growing up is trying on a few different shoes and figuring out what doesn’t fit. Doing something that can never be changed or fixed at that age is just regret waiting to happen.

This "transitioning" is just so fucking sick that I don't know what to say.
If some nut job adult wants to do something irreversible to themselves then I guess it's OK assuming they'll also cope with the consequences.
Allowing teenagers/kids to to "transition" is beyond irresponsible and it's hard to imagine how someone would even propose such thing.

Are there a lot of kids "transitioning" in the US now?
I think I've encountered a grand total of two transgendered individuals in my life, and I'm not even certain they were transgender or just cross dressing.

Florida isn't ridiculous, people that live outside my state that openly, brazenly slander our governor with the mainstream/social media and leftist Hollywood propaganda are ridiculous
Have you any idea how indoctrinated and brainwashed you sound? Or was this a joke post?

Do you know of Eddie Izzard?

Girl, 17, who transitioned back from a boy reveals how puberty blockers and surgery have 'irreversibly and painfully' ruined her body as she backs Florida law blocking medical interventions
  • Chloe Cole told how taking puberty blockers and having surgery damaged her
  • She said it left her unlikely to be able to have children and unable to breastfeed
  • She also told how she could be at risk of certain types of cancer due to treatment
  • Chloe told of her trauma in heartbreaking testimony during a hearing in Florida
  • Officials had discussed reimbursements made to those after hormone therapy
Fucking hell. This is terrible. Florida is ridiculous with the don't say gay rule but don't give children life changing decisions, please.

Out of all those bullet points, how come you left out these key details?

"The teen said: 'No child should have to experience what I have. My consent was not informed.'

"She said therapists told her prior to transitioning she did not understand the ramifications."

and,
"When speaking about her mastectomys, she said it was a 'was a very graphic process and it was definitely something I wasn't prepared for.'"

So, shitty private doctors and lack of mental health support are to blame here.

She added: 'I'm still in the dark about the overall picture of my health right now.'

It wouldn't matter if she were 15 or 45; this would still be a bad thing. It's not a normal situation.

Who the fuck is "misled into taking puberty blockers"? Misled? GTFO with that shit.
This story is bait for the "They're indoctrinating children" fear mongers and sounds manufactured specifically for the purpose. The article doesn't mention if DeSantis is going to address the shitty doctoring that led to this person not having informed consent, does it? Wonder why? Perhaps it's because finding the root cause is less important than an excuse for outrage toward transgenders to some people.

Nope. Gender bender?
Was my favourite stand up till Gervais. Husband thought he would hate him being he wears lipstick and heals...he ended up his favourite stand up. I told him he'd love him.

Want a youtube? I ask because when people clue me in I lie and never bother.

So unfortunate. I hate hearing stories like this, its been a complete failure of many adults to realize that this is becoming a damaging trend. And a lot of it is just being projected onto the children by the adults surrounding them

My lovely, it's also The Daily Mail. I've been taken to hell and back about Trans here so I'm not going tits and bits about it.
I'm not going mental over it, it was just the main article on the Daily Mail.
We'll have what Justin Beiber's main toe nail varnish tomozzles.

Executive Summary

Recent data from the CDC’s Behavior Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) and Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) provide an opportunity to update prior population estimates of the number of adults and youth who identify as transgender in the U.S. In 2016 and 2017, the Williams Institute used data from the 2014-15 BRFSS to estimate the number of adults (ages 18 and older) and youth (ages 13 to 17) who identify as transgender. Since then, a total of 43 states have used the BRFSS optional gender identity module for at least one year, providing more years of data from more states since these initial estimates. Additionally, in 2017, the YRBS, a national survey of high school students, began asking respondents if they are transgender. Since 2017, fifteen states have included this question in their YRBS statewide questionnaire. In this study, we use data from the 2017 and 2019 YRBS and the 2017- 2020 BRFSS to find that:

  • Over 1.6 million adults (ages 18 and older) and youth (ages 13 to 17) identify as transgender in the United States, or 0.6% of those ages 13 and older.
  • Among U.S. adults, 0.5% (about 1.3 million adults) identify as transgender. Among youth ages 13 to 17 in the U.S., 1.4% (about 300,000 youth) identify as transgender.
  • Of the 1.3 million adults who identify as transgender, 38.5% (515,200) are transgender women, 35.9% (480,000) are transgender men, and 25.6% (341,800) reported they are gender nonconforming.
  • Research shows transgender individuals are younger on average than the U.S. population. We find that youth ages 13 to 17 are significantly more likely to identify as transgender (1.4%) than adults ages 65 or older (0.3%).
  • The racial/ethnic distribution of youth and adults who identify as transgender appears generally similar to the U.S. population, though our estimates mirror prior research that found transgender youth and adults are more likely to report being Latinx and less likely to report being White compared to the U.S. population.
  • Our estimates of the percent of residents in U.S. regions who identify as transgender range from 1.8% in the Northeast to 1.2% in the Midwest for youth ages 13 to 17, and range from 0.6% in the Northeast to 0.4% in the Midwest for adults.
  • At the state level, our estimates range from 3.0% of youth ages 13 to 17 identifying as transgender in New York to 0.6% in Wyoming. Our estimates for the percentage of adults who identify as transgender range from 0.9% in North Carolina to 0.2% in Missouri.

I'm not fully trusting of this 'study,' especially because they use the term 'Latinx.' But if these numbers are in the same ballpark as the truth, the numbers are frightening.

I'll go have a look. Although there's a lot of comedy I just don't find amusing. Still, I'm generally more of a fan of British comedy than American, so I'll give it a crack.

So unfortunate. I hate hearing stories like this, its a complete failure of multiple adults to realize that this is becoming a damaging trend. And a lot of it is just being projected onto the children by the adults surrounding them
There’s definitely some truth to the projection point your making. We see it with student athletes and parents living through their child. Now obviously there’s a line somewhere right? Where do we draw the line between a parents right to raise their kid a certain way, or push them towards experiences that would guide them and help them in life, and a parent being “too pushy” or “over bearing”. It’s definitely a gray area, and once we introduce chemical changes to a body that can never be reversed I think it just adds an extra level of complication to an already difficult situation.

You don't have to. I had the joy of seeing him a few times.
He started identifying as them which did my swede in but up to him
he's flippin brilliant though. Again, don't feel obligated to watch. The second is the best sketch of comedy of ever time.
