Yes, it is obvious. ANd...I think it's pretty obvious to anybody that knows what they're looking at
those are adorable cartoons
If the shoe fits, wear it.

That's a cool video but that certainly isn't a karate sidekick

Not even close. This false comparison likely comes from the TKD instructors opening 1000s of trash schools in the 1980/90s and calling them “<insert name Karate”. I’m sure all the Oki/Japan instructors established since the 1970s appreciated this a ton. /smhtaekwondo is not karate....

Also, did you watch the whole video?
Because Samart threw both side teeps, and side kicks
The side teep is like a “side kicking jab”, where the side kick was thrown with full power and was knocking his opponent down.

Have you ever looked at Chuck's tat?..kempo is karateCejudo is not, he recently started using certain aspects but has no background
Adesanya is not a karate fighter, he’s a kick boxer
Lol at Chuck Liddell
yeah, I am VERY familiar with muay thai, Samart has a very western style of boxing and was known for non traditional muay thai
you can see even the spinning side/wheel kick in MT...just rarely
My point was about how much you actually do see those techniques in REAL Muay Thai fights, as well as Takedowns.
Like i said, I haven’t kept up with it in a long time, but in Thailand you see it ALOT, or at least you did years back, but I can’t see that changing.
Heres a guy with a 90% karate style
TKD and Karate are not nearly identical. You couldn’t be farther from the truth.are you saying that Adesanya is a TKD stylist??
TKD and Karate are nearly identical, different but not a lot.
..muay thai is RADICALLY different and highly recognizable
He was trained in Sanda, what Karate man fight like that? you just have Machida. A kick is a kick, exist the Siamese way and the rest of the world way. No need to label things in this century

Go watch Machida or Uriah Hall fight...
(hint: Karate base)
Go watch Pettis or Daron Cruickshank fight...
(hint: TKD base)
Can you not see a glaring difference in use of distance, footwork, and kicks (especially spinning shit)?
Thanks to McDojos, people underrate karate
The real karate is just as good as Muay Thai
