Dominick Cruz striking background...

P4p pillowest hands 11 years of fighting with one finish
17 years of fighting pro MMA, most of it at the highest possible levels.

Still ranked in top 10

Only TKOed 1x and he got right up

Taken very little head trauma for a pro with 27 fights, nearly untouched in his prime before his knee injuries piled up.

He traded power (which he may not have had to begin with) for mobility and ability to mitigate risk of being hit.

It has worked out pretty well for Cruz.
His wheels are beat up but his brain is intact and he is using it to generate an income that will stay with him after fighting. (And he is already wealthy)

I'm always as impressed with his footwork as I am unimpressed with his striking. He wings punches and often looks sloppy.

He's gonna get knocked out by Aldo if they fight.

Agreed with everything you said but he still has pillow hands tho

oh wow man. thank you for this!
Yah dawg, no problemo! Tim has an AMA thread in boxing forum and answers us Sherbros' questions. Not very many people alive were sparring partners of Ali, nm a two time hw champ.

Dean Williams, aka "the welsh road warrior", sparring partner of Larry Holmes, also just signed up to Sherdog and is a super nice guy too. Both guys are a wealth of knowledge, walking history, and are willing to share it with us.

In Cruz's prime he was literally the least hit fighter in the UFC with his opponents missing around 70% of their attempted strikes.
(And that includes leg kicks and ground strikes)

I'd say it worked out pretty well for him.

You also need to grasp that he adapted those techniques into a different sport with kicks and takedowns, so he had to change things. MMA fighters have to be more squared up to defend takedowns and low kicks.

The criticism that I feel like applies to Cruz is that his extremely mobile style was not sustainable on his body and injuries effectively ended his prime.

But in his title run he was as unhittable as any MMA fighter ever has been.
TL;DR

Thinking anyone would read that makes you look dumber than Cruz' ski jump haircut.

If you can't read 5 sentences then your opinion is worthless. But it does explain your other dumb posts.

Bye.

My opinion isn't invalid because of some shit you wrote. I don't need any response. If he studied Pep he fucking sucks at employing it. Period.
