If they released classified material then they should be held accountable. There are many levels of classified material.

Your social security number is considered classified or confidential ( not the government confidential but business) depending on who you ask.

However do ypu even realize how many people have access to it and other information including you bank account number. The number is hundreds of thousands if you realy look into it.

Not that it needs to be more but people act like only few people can find it.

As far as government classified its known they over classifie heavy just because.

As an ex nuclear worker I saw stuff classified NOFORN and confidential and even classified stuff by the government right on the internet and I don't mean the dark web.

I heard a funny story from a buddy recently. He does some sort of security tech including for different governement agencies, and one of his recent contracts was with something he said he couldnt actually tell me, but that it deals with a lot of classified information. He said one of the things he learned was that a large amount of stuff gets labeled as "classified" simply because people dont want to do the paperwork/data entry. Depending on what you're entering, you can literally avoid doing tons of work by just declaring it "classified", and then you dont have to re-enter the info into anything else, haha. So its basically kind of like "I can spend the next hour transferring the data from this file to another source, line by line and entering all the info like I would on a tax form, or simply label it classified and now I basically make a big black box cover everything". I thought that was hilarious and makes a certain amount of sense. Im sure it doesnt happen with anything actually important, but I could easily see people just going "Oh, fuck this" and slapping black paint on everything.

Would explain the fact that his takes are virtually always uninformed. My guess is he laps up whatever the social media algorithm feeds him on whatever site he browses, probably Twitter if I had to guess.

Depends on the Intel.
Depends if the court would allow it to be publicly analyzed.
Regardless, the power of the federal government to be able to throw someone in prison for decades for exposing 'classified' documents... when it's just meant to protect the personal and professional power of politicial & power-brokers in DC should be very concerning.

Here’s where it gets convoluted though. They don’t have clearances themselves as far as I know, so the government shouldn’t be allowing them access to anything classified. Yet they are. So I guess whoever is granting them access is liable. In this case it’s Trump? So you know, nothing will happen
