Does it upset you that Jon Jones will never be humbled?

I’m not a Jones fan, at all, but I also don’t really dislike him either. I admire his greatness and genius, but I find him very unappealing as a person and personality.

But I’ve noticed, especially this weekend, how much his haters take his wins personally.

We’ve seen shitty people at the top like Conor get humiliated and it’s happened a bunch in boxing and team sports. But like Floyd Mayweather, Jones will likely never lose a match. Even if he’s slowing down now(we don’t know yet), he’s too smart to put himself in an unfavourable position.

For the haters, does it bother you that you’re never going to see him lose a fight or even get humbled? As a fan of the sport, is it something that will always bother you?
Those fans need to get over themselves.

I like Jones and consider him the greatest fighter we've seen. However, with guys like Aspinal, Sergei and Stipe ahead of him, for those that want to see him lose, there is a very good possibility. I personally don't see him leaving the Sergei fight conscious.

No offence TS but these ‘Sherdog says’ threads annoy me. Who are you talking to? Don’t just say ‘the haterz’ name someone. Who are you referring to?

I’m like you, don’t hate him, don’t love him, appreciate his brilliance. I’d like him to be humbled yeah but if it never happens I couldn’t give less fucks if I tried.

Haters are haters! They are blinded by hate. Of course it bothers them!

You can find the same people in all anti-Jones threads throught the years on sherdog. Once you hate him, Jon Jones won't let you go off the hook - he keeps winning, keeps proving you wrong and keeps being the GOAT. He's such a scum.

I'm not sure why Jon gets so much hate. He said he didn't know he hit a pregnant woman and I believe him. He's far from a perfect person, I'll admit that. Dana just hit his wife on camera, what makes him so great? Everybody seems to love Tyson who's a convicted rapist and seems far worse.

Jones fan here and it’s always funny to read the despondent comments after another victory.

Sherbros have a double standard here because they champion douchey behavior and love people like Conor but they all can’t stand Jones. It’s like Jones lives the life they pretend to live and celebrate but then resent him for it. It’s hilarious

It’s a good to see a great man like Jones continue to conquer the world and makes me believe that good guys do win in the end

Jon has already been humbled in some of his fights, even though he won them.

not as much as it does you thank goodness

I actually thought he looked a bit slow on his feet in the limited amount we did see. Definitely wasn't still moving like a LHW like he said he was. Might be interesting if someone can negate his wrestling. Stipe probably too old so I doubt he will be that guy but if Jones stays around long enough someone might come around eventually.

It could happen. Now that we saw the fight between Jones and Gane, we know that a wrestler is a horrible match up for Bon Gamin. Styles make fight, as we know. But same could happen to Jones in terms of bad match up. If a crazy JJ guy comes in the UFC, someone with at least Reyes' stand-up to neutralize him on his feet, Jones is dead.

Never forget Cain. Guy was an absolute monster, nobody saw him losing. Was going to be the best HW of all time. Then... Werdum happened. Friggin' guy was SMILING when Cain took him down. Rest is history. Same could happen to Jones. He can be all juiced up, won't save him from someone who is just dying for him to take him down.

Jon doesn't need to be humbled...his opponents who think it's easy to beat him deserves to be humbled....appreciate the fighter while he still has the passion to step in the cage and finish opponents...He is getting old and maybe we'll see a few more fights before he really hangs it up....

he doesn't get humbled because mma media gives him a pass for steroids use.

He will if he fights real contenders and not one dimensional guys or old Stipe. He’s a cherry picker

Yes it bothers me very much but to cope I tell myself he sold his soul to the devil and will pay for it in the long run

I can't give you a like with my double yellow, but this is a great post. It is drawing out proof that hopium and copium are still being snorted in epic volumes on this forum, lol.

If he fights long enough he'll probably lose, Tom Aspinall has a good chance at beating Jones imo.

Nah he won’t be the last arrogant tool to come along. No point getting bent out of shape by him

I was never a "hater" but after the Shogun fight i was bitter and rooted for Rampage, Machida, Gustafsson, and Cormier to KO him. I really thought all those guys had a chance of doing it.
A combination of deplorable behaviours outside the cage and Jackson's "go get some fans" also really pissed me off at the time. After the first Cormier fight though, I started to fall back into an honest appreciation for his insane talents. As a GSP fan for life, I'm surprised I haven't been as hung up on Jones' failed tests. I guess JBJ's technique and IQ outshine those aspects for me.
