So if you take that away, he probably loses some of those exchanges and maybe fails to stop the takedown as well as he stuck his fingers in Tom’s face to defend the takedown.

It's not bad fight IQ, it's that eye poking works. The potential upside is that you trade at worst a point, but more likely a warning, in exchange for you opponent having to fight someone he can't see for 22 minutes, and the worst downside is it ends the fight a NC and the retardos on here will find a way to blame your opponent for getting poked and not the dirty asshole trying to stab out people's eyes with his fingernails.
