Honestly fuck that rematch, no I don't think 38 year old Volkov is going to keep it on the feet this time. He did well against Gane because Gane was compromised with a broken foot, which haters refuse to acknowledge, just label a robbery.

I might be okay with Pereira over Gane temporarily, let Volkov fight Gane in the meantime, but lets just hope they can get this rematch soon before we wait a year like Yan/Sterling.

"Paper champion" is often used as a pejorative but it originally meant that a champion was named by an organization (written on paper) rather than winning a title fight. Jones wasn't a paper champion because he won the belt in a title fight against Gane.
This fight was supposed to do the same and legitimize Tom or Gane as the champ.

Gane is a liability -- his blatant foul shutdown a PPV Main Event on an already humble (crappy, not good, junky) Main Card. And fans know he's got a few more "accidental" Fouls left in him.

Aspinall now taking flaming arrows for claiming injury and staying in character whilst doing so -- further tarnishing the HW Division crap show in the minds of many Sherdoggers.

But Dana's already setting the table for the Paramount scheme of UFC entertainment that's about to be launched -- so he's just hitting the Easy button to get these Tom Gane back in the cage, using the UFC 321 Drama as motivation for their Rematch.

Jones literally built his legacy on shady tactics and eye pokes. I don't remember a single time one of his opponents put on a show like Tom though.

Gane has already wasted multiple Title shot opportunities -- and has proven inadequate for the task.

Gane couldn't get out of Round 1 without two fingers-to-the-face on Tom, to include the fight ending blatant Double Eye-Poke. That follows his Champ Fight Low Blow on Jon Jones in Round 1.

Dana needs to elevate his HW program -- admittedly, the lack of quality HW Contenders makes Gane's case for a rematch strong -- and perhaps inevitable.

A planet of ~4 billion male humans -- exposes Dana's lack of commitment to properly develop the HW Roster. It's comically alarming as he rolls out a line-up of fat monsters looking exhausted and clueless in HW fat scraps -- Barnett literally showing the ass of Dana's UFC HW Division...
