Relationships Does anyone regret having kids?

most people probably do but they brainwashed and repressed themselves into believing that kids are the best thing that ever happened to them
can't be better than 100 playmates sucking your dick forever, bros
i know you lying
in before fatherly advice from experience

But you don't have kids.

I don’t have kids. If you could trade in a shitty kid for a good one it’s something I would consider.

Isn’t it funny though, when you sit down with your son and say “Son, when I was your age...” “Uhh,dad, you are my age.”
Yeah, being a 33 year old Grandpa was a trip too. I'd take little dude to the park and when he would call me grandpa the moms would think it was cute that he was so confused. I'd just chuckle.

I figure I'll be a great grandpa before I'm 50 with how much of whores my family are...lol

My daughter is one of the most wonderful things to happen to me; wouldn't trade it for anything. That's putting it as succinct as I can. Zero regrets.

The best advice I can give is to not let your kid be a distraction; commit to spending time with them. As they get older they grow more and more independent.

Ethan John Curtis was born to this Ontario family just a few days ago. His mother, Priscilla Steiner, is 19-years-old, and his grandmother, Stephanie Steiner is just 34. Great-grandmother, Brenda Steiner, is 51 (wow! imagine being a great-grandmother at 51!), great-great grandmother Marilyn Cross is 68, while great-great-great grandmother Doreen Byers is 86 years young

Yes its literally the worst thing that will happen in your life.
no sleep
no money
no hobbies
no free time
no sex
You will look and feel like shit due to lack of exercise and crappy diet

ignore anyone who says positive shit its lies. Be prepared. Enjoy the gestational period as its the last chance youll have to enjoy anything
I'm now in the process of eradicating this dad bod I acquired and "spicing up things" Sleep, and money is good but the rest you listed has hit me.

I literally hate kids and hope I never have them.

BUT sometimes I'll be playing with my 1 year old niece and I'm like wow they're adorable.

No disrespect intended.. i like you..

But you speak as if having kids is a given.. for someone who doesn't "like" kids a kid adds no value.. you wouldn't ask someone who doesn't care for dogs WHEN they are getting a dog..

with your argumentation it's always better to have a kid than to not have a kid since rate of survival is very high.. that would be a great argument if everybody wanted kids..

For me personally a kid would only add value if, and only if i'm rich/have enough spare time to not having to compromise with anything.. ie breeding is only interesting when you have achieved everything as a kid isn't an achievement in itself..

The way friends/collegues talk about their relationships, economy and health after getting kids is not a great selling point..

yeah, sure.. you love your kid and you might feel happy but objectively you're uglier, your partner is uglier, you have less money, less free time, less time at work, more fights with your partner etc.. this isn't true for everyone ofcourse..
Kids are hard, they're even harder if you're out shape.

I find 40+hrs/week jobs more cancerous than a human being who adores you.

I didn't handle much of the parenting to be honest. She was 21 and stayed home and once I hit 16 I graduated HS and went to work in a concrete product factory. We split when he was 2 and I don't see much of him untill he was an adult.

Dude, in another thread you claimed you were 15 and got a 36 year old friend's mom pregnant.....and they didn't know who the father was b/c this woman was fucking around. Did you get 2 people pregnant when you were 36?!?! You dirty dog you!! High Five!!

Do any of you guys have kids and wish you had not?
I dumped a clip in the Mrs. and now shes pregnant, it'll be both of ours 1st kid. We're in our early 30's, she's excited I am too but I'm the type of person who enjoys my free time to do my own thing after work and on the weekends, I've pretty much accepted that a lot of that free time will be gone once the baby is born, and money will also be tight once she takes time off work and we're paying the bills with just my income. I know most people say having kids was the best thing they ever did even though it was very hard but is there anyone out there who regrets having kids and if so why? I know maybe that's something most people won't admit so I figured maybe I'd get some honest responses on this anonymous karate forum. Thanks.
Update from TS? I'm sure you feel it was worth it but do you ever miss your old life of freedom?

"I know that's something most people won't admit" we're in a society that encourages having kids and really romanticizes children, I doubt anyone but maybe some old geezer will say they regret it. but ya, of course they do. I didn't have any and I certainly regret that but, never got the right person.

I used to date a girl who's parents told her they honestly wished they didn't have her. They got married because her mom got pregnant and it's not something they really wanted. They told her not to make that mistake for herself. She was a bit fucked in the head.
