Another good money saver is cloth diapers. They’re a lot more work but damn my wife and I saved a ton of money over the course of four years (of diapers between our two kids) by using cloth.
 
I think kids are great when trying to reach things that are up in high places. You can stack them up to the desired height and viola.
 
Really comes down to the kind of person you are. If you're the type to primarily care about yourself, then having a kid is something you'll likely regret.

If you're the kind of person that can get satisfaction from being loved unconditionally then it's hard to describe. Yes, it's difficult. It's hard. There are times you want to smash and break things and you wonder if it you know what he'll you're doing.

Then you see a 4 year old almost bring you to tears with a simple action or phrase. It's a happiness that's hard to describe and cant be found anywhere else.
 
I do. Both me ex-wives turned our kids against me during the divorces and now only my son from my second marriage keeps any kind of regular contact because he doesn't have friends.

His cousin sounds like an absolute cunt. Seriously, until you actually have a kid it's not something that will make sense. I was shocked how my outlook changed, and almost everyone I know went through the same thing. Literally the second your baby is born, it's all that matters.
 
I regret the age at which I had my first son, 17.

Been plenty of ups and really low-down lows. But, his mom and I have had a great life together so far.

So, it's all good.
 
No regrets, but its more of the constant back and forth arguing with my wife over parenting styles than anything.

I don't...at least not yet. But I only have 1 so my degree of difficulty isn't that high.
 
clearly many people do, or we wouldn't have the staggeringly high rate of single parent households we do...

I don't, and that's considering i live where i live to be close to my kid and i can coach his sports teams, etc....
 
Anyone worry about the future their kids are going to have to face? Other than me being a cold hearted bastard, I dont want to have kids due to the lack of opportunities and the direction the world (USA) is going in general. Technology is great but our work infrastructure will need a giant overall within their lifetime, Id assume.

Yes, i regret my 30s which is IMO the prime of man (you have more money and still young) being wasted on a kid.

No, because when i get older and my parents are gone and my brothers are old as me ill still like to have a family.

The truth is, there are times I look back on how I spent my time before I had kids, and wish I had realized how much free time I really had. And maybe wish I had just enjoyed more the lack of real responsibility you have when you don’t have kids.

But that being said, Ive never regretted having a kid. All the cliche shit you hear about it being the best thing that ever happened to you, in my experience, is totally true.
