Does anyone here feel sympathetic for Tom Aspinall?

Is Tom the lamest champion since Nico Montano? He's almost 33, didn't legitimately win a belt, zero title defenses for gifted belt, questionable heart, puppeteered by his daddy, zero rizz (have you ever been fingered?), made of glass, bad tattoos, dorky accent, compulsive liar ( 12% BF, blind etc.)

It's impressive how lame this man really is.

I got to the point where I was like, “you know what? Maybe they’re right. Let’s see how much of a statement he puts on Gane.” The odds for that fight were more lopsided than McGregor vs Diaz 1. Imagine the perspective of a new fan, expecting to see a showcase put on a journeyman by the guy everybody is saying is the future GOAT… then you get that.

No one knows if he ever wanted to take this fight in the first place. But what he DID say is he wanted to do that bullshit ass reality show in Russia, as HW champion, so he could get top rate pay for it, which somehow is a good enough reason to hold up the division, only to just not fight anyway. If everyone thought he was a duck by then anyway it's his own fault.

Dana was saying the fight would happen 100% in December 2024, it was just a matter of time and place.. early 2025 fans start calling Jones a duck which was one thing, but in March 2025 Aspinall brought the rubber duck to the Octagon and wouldn’t shut up about it after that. Aspinall thought he could goad Jones into a fight.. flattery would have been the better strategy.

Jones felt disrespected and decided he wasn’t even going to give Aspinall the opportunity. He held Aspinall and the entire UFC HW divisions’ fate in his hands, so like the egomaniac he is, he dragged them along for a while then fucked them over completely. Now he’s laughing at Aspinall crying all the time after getting beat up for a round by a guy that Jones made look like a toddler.

And now we have a virtually dead HW division.
