Does anyone else hate Chinese food?

Don't you wonder how you can get such a massive quantity of food for such a low price? It's because they use such god awful ingredients.

I think I hate you.
Low prices? WTF. Where are you eating chinese food?! And are you sure that it is actually chinese food you are eating? Did McDonalds make some kind of 'china menu' and now you people think that it's chinese food?

Authentic Chinese Food is amazing. Some friends of mine who are Chinese have taken me and the wife to authentic restaurants and ordered "off the menu" dishes, and they have been fantastic.

Plus, dim sum is the tits.

This man knows what is up. Yes dim sum is delicious.

Hot pot can be excellent. Most Chinese food in America is garbage

As far as cheap food goes, I think Mexican food holds the title. For example, cheap Chinese or Italian have the tendency to really suck, whereas cheap Mexican is usually not half bad. Granted, I think Mexican food hits the quality ceiling faster, so it's a double edged sword.

The thing that annoys me about Italian food is why is it so expensive for noodles and some sauce and a few specks of meat. It's ridiculously expensive for no reason other than ethnicity of the food.

It's generally crap as far as I'm concerned. If you like MSG then I guess it's the cuisine for you. Lots of sugar in there too.

If you're eating at typical run-of-the-mill Americanized Chinese food (a la Panda Express and those Oriental delis at Safeway), then you're going to be very disappointed.

If you're at a place that serves good Yu Shang/Yu Hsiang Eggplant, you're at a bonafide Chinese restaurant and will be hard pressed to find anything more fresh and authentic.

I use to really like it back before I became a vegan, but every since July I don't think I've had it. It really is far too oily.

Pass. I went on a date to Chinatown here in Seattle and the girl brought me to a Dim Sum place... Her idea as I'd never had it. They brought around Chicken Feet and these little things that had transluscent wrapping that I couldn't identify. Ended up eating a few Saltines, had some tea and got the fuck out of there as soon as I could to grab a Cheeseburger in P-square.

Maybe I just had a bad Dim Sum experience, but I'll probably never know... Not planning on trying it again.

Please tell me you tried this....

...and if you have, and don't like it - we can't be Sherdog friends anymore man....

I don't like cheap ass Chinese food. It tastes like generic shit and makes me sick in the morning.

I have 1 main place that I get my Chinese from. It is a little expensive, but worth it, imo. My fav. dishes are the Egg Foo Young w/ gravy, or sauce and the sweet and sour pork.

yeah, i really dont like anything outside of steamed dumplings and shrimp lo mein.

general tso chicken is pretty good too.

It all depends, but I hate Chinese fast food, or as others refer to it American Chinese food.

I used to love it when I was younger, but now I despise it. I feel like crap every time I eat it. It's like the lowest quality meat possible, and loaded with preservatives. How is this stuff so popular?

most of it is bad... I cant eat Panda Express or some shit. Seattle had some great places that used fresh ingredients. So good.
