Does anyone else hate Chinese food?

Panda Express is about the lowest quality I can go. It is not bad, but I prefer the most authentic Chinese I can get.

Panda Express almost messed up big time, in my area. They switched over from their regular fried rice, to some horrible tasting brown rice, that was supposed to be healthier. It tasted terrible. The pissed a lot of people off and have since gone back to their normal fried rice.

It was almost as bad as the Original Coke switching over to the New Coke, back in the 80's.

I love it but it never sits well with my stomach.

You mean the Chinese food you find in dingy buffets studded across strip malls in North America? Or food like one might actually find in China?

It's like calling McDonald's 'Western food', but whatever. I like Chinese food. A lot.

Holy shit... 11 pages and no one has posted this gem yet?

After having some Peking Duck(the real deal), I could never hate Chinese food. It's one of the finest things that you can eat. Chinese food is possibly the most diverse cuisine in the world. Most of us have only sampled a small corner of real Chinese food(maybe). Get out there and eat some real Chinese food if you can.

You have no soul if you hate Chinese food.

I concur sir!

I like any Chinese food available. Whether its some general tso's chicken and crab rangoon at a Chinese buffet or a plate of... something at some street in China town.

Its all good to me.

*And those who don't like Chinese food better start liking it now because China will probably invade the US sometime after 2018. (You really think they are going to wait til the year 2355 for the US to pay the $$ we owe them? HAAH!!! no way.)

*Please don't bother asking me the correlation of Chinese food and a Chinese invasion. :S It just sounded good.

I'm not referring to buffets...even normal take out is garbage.

bourdain loves chinese food, dont have the book in front of me but iirc in No Reservations he said it was his favourite

roasted duck, pork/shrimp dumplings, ma po tofu, congee, braised pork belly, short ribs & bitter melon, manchurian green beans, lotus leaf rice, bok choi, and all kinds of tea

that 3 items + rice or noodles (your choice) is not chinese food, it is fast food served by chinese ppl seasoned the way they are used to back home, but adapted for a different audience

He did like 4-5 No Reservations in China.

It's on another level, really. It's Chinese, then French cuisine as tops in the world, IMO.

i love this shit. but i do agree you feel pretty shitty aftewards, then are starving again after 1 hour.

I've never been to China but they have a lot of people! If we want to hate, we need to do it collective wise investment with another strong allie!

I don't personally but if we're gonna do it, I will stand for my country!

ALSO are they doing something we don't know? Because this can fuel me even more!

I love Chinese food. Both authentic and the Canadian-American Chinese food. Fuck... I want some now!

place over here tops it

First Chinese bbq *waits for other dallas/plano guys to confirm*

truth.. it's not bad for dallas.. but it's miles from southern california or vancouver or even seattle

Pass. I went on a date to Chinatown here in Seattle and the girl brought me to a Dim Sum place... Her idea as I'd never had it. They brought around Chicken Feet and these little things that had transluscent wrapping that I couldn't identify. Ended up eating a few Saltines, had some tea and got the fuck out of there as soon as I could to grab a Cheeseburger in P-square.

Maybe I just had a bad Dim Sum experience, but I'll probably never know... Not planning on trying it again.

i haven't tried the dim sum in seattle yet.. but why bother when vancouver is so close..

although.. i still haven't found a decent burger in seattle.. any recs?

Seriously

WHO THE FUCK HATES CHINESE FOOD.

Top 10 GOAT dish if done correctly, I can eat the cheap stuff but the more upmarket Chinese stuff is fantastic.
