I don’t think anyone denies that they went up after COVID, inflation was going to hit whomever won the 2020 election. We also took initiatives that raised wages 19% on average, so that wages surpassed inflation and people could pay for things. We also passed the Inflation Reduction Act—with mechanisms built in the bill to pay for itself—that brought inflation down from around 9% to like 2.2%.

But we were told that wasn’t enough, prices were too high, and only Trump could fix it. And he hasn’t given one motherfuck about the economy. Hasn’t done a single thing geared towards that AFAIK. He’s busy letting billionaires do illegal things and having his DOJ threaten anyone who won’t go along with those illegal things; wanting to annex Canada and Greenland, start trade wars, commit ethnic cleaning in Gaza.

I don't think a full blown civil war is likely, but as these people are getting further and further radicalized it's only inevitable that we will see violence.
