Seems like that's what Jones is trying to say. What's your thoughts? You honestly believe Ngannou is scared?

I don’t think Francis or Jon are afraid of each other or anybody. That’s just entrenched retards that hate on them. I think it’s about timing, preparation, opportunity and money. Francis didn’t get what he wanted so he dipped.

Francis wants no part of Jones. People say "Jones took forever to move up to HW cause he was scared of Francis," but the truth is Francis left right after Jones arrived at HW. And Francis is using the ol' "UFC wouldn't let me have sponsors" excuse... Yeah, that's something we could buy if they let ANYONE have sponsors in the last few YEARS.

Francis says that stuff 'cause he has pride. But the reality is that Francis hasn't been wrestling his whole life. Francis is smart and humble. That's why he didn't wanna engage against Lewis. Not because he was scared of Derrick, but he was cautious and he knew that if Lewis connected, there could be serious trouble against not just him, but anybody. So he took the safe route and I'm not gonna shame him for that but it's a similar characteristic as to recent events.

I do not think Jon Jones, a grown ass man and one of the baddest guys on the planet or Francis Ngannou, a dude who worked in sand mines and insane immigration struggles to get to where he is, are scarefd of each other.

What I DO BELIEVE, is that both Jones and Francis are scared of losing to the other.
> For Jones, losing his undefeated record to Francis would give the latter insane prestige and greater opportunities in the boxing/mainstream world as the first guy to defeat the greatest of all time.

> For Francis, losing to Jones would essentially mean his leverage for boxing is all but gone and there is no way to get that potential bag.

Yeah no ...
JJ had a lot of time to fight as a HW but he waited until Francis left. He also could have fought prime Stipe, now he's going to fight grandpa Stipe. Hopefully grandpa still had some fire left in him and beats the snot out of the juice GOAT

Francis worked in sandmines since he was a kid, probably dodged some African warlords, climbed a shitload of barbed wire, dodged border patrol multiple times, slept in deserts and forests, crossed the Meditterrenean sea on a little home-made raft, watched other refugees fall behind and probably die, got detained in multiple countries for being an illegal immigrant, was a homeless person on the streets of Paris for multiple years, and had 20 professional cage fights.

But out of all the above, the prospect of fighting Jon Jones was of course the one thing that terrified him most.

You see how fucking dumb that sounds? Imagine thinking that.

Scared of losing his leverage, maybe, as others have already said. More like not making sense for him taking a chance when his one foot out of the UFC door and so much closer to his boxing fantasies.

Jon has that aura, but there's nothing he brings in terms of inflicting damage that Ngannou fears, c'mon.

Worst case scenario: He makes more money than ever in his career, 10 million and up and retires.
Why would he be afraid of that?
A submission loss while taking no damage. Although Jones loves to crack your bones. Just tap quicker then.

It's just a fight and why would someone be scared by a guy who doesn't have KO power?
Also, Ngannou doesn't seem that easy to submit, even though his ground game is bad and Jones would probably take him down.

HW at its finest... kind of a joke.
Daukaus is still ranked?
There are MWs with more muscle mass than him.

I don't think he's scared but he realizes there is a decent chance of losing so he wanted a huge retirement payday.

Ngannou literally admitted to being scared in the Derrick Lewis fight. If he's scared to fight Derrick fucking Lewis he's probably shitting himself thinking about fighting Jon Jones. The list of ridiculous demands he presented to the UFC says it all. He had no intention of ever re-signing so he opted to score some PR points on his way out with a list of demands that will get him lots of Reddit upvotes but anyone with over 50 IQ knows the UFC would never agree to.

I think he knows his chances are slim but I don't think he was scared or unwilling to fight Jones. Pretty low risk high reward fight for Francis. Think hes being straightforward about why he left.

Francis certainly "quit while he was ahead" though. By leaving now he has plausible deniability he would have lost like Hendo. Don't think that's why he didn't sign but it is something that will seperate Francis from all the guys Jones does end up beating.
