i would if i was in his place.

or he is set with his skill set, and thinks, no one is good enough to get him in that position again.

He needs to hire actual professionals and seriously learn it. It is not striking where he can just do techniques haphazardly and rely on his physicality, wrestling punishes outside traditional technique more than striking does. He has all the physicality to become actually very difficult to deal with, but does he have the learning acumen now. Payton Talbot seemed to have improved his TDD and overall wrestling/grappling awareness tremendously in one fight, so it's not out of the world possibility DDP can actually do the same.

DDP should retire after that effort. Anything else is a waste. Unless he had pneumonia but fought anyway, DDP is done.

I wonder when people are willing to finally accept what I've been saying for a long time. This dude is special.

GSP levels of special
Jon Jones levels of special

If you can't say that about his opponent that will be matched up against him then that opponent is likely not winning.

He's not special, he's just a dagi wrestler benefiting from their style being superior for MMA. And middleweight has very weak wrestlers compared to other divisions.

Their style will be figured out and the rules will punish it. It's only a matter of time. If Mokaev and Makhachev win their belts, we will have dagi style wrestlers at 125, 135, 145, 170, 185, and 205.

Completely unacceptable to not demand a rules change. Or we wait 10-20 years, and their style/training will take over all the MMA gyms, like everyone had to learn aspects of BJJ back in the 90s.

"Dagi wrestlers" is a colloquialism, Mr. Facts Police.

Obviously it's Caucuses style wrestling, with Dagestan/Georgia/Chechnya/Russia/Iran all having similar wrestling styles in that region. But it's called Dagi Wrestling here on these forums because Khabib did it first.

You can probably count Armenia in there too, since we have Arman at 155 pounds. I'm not aware of any Azerbaijan MMA fighters, or if they have the same style of wrestling.

It's not dagi wrestling. "Here on the forums".... lol you mean some of the most retarded humans on earth said something, so you went along with saying stupid shit?

It's definitely dagi wrestling (here on the forums).
Here on the forums means nothing to me. I don't care about people saying stupid, incorrect things. I try to make a point in saying factual things, not factually incorrect things.

Fair enough, which is why I corrected myself for you, because you are technically and factually correct.

If there were no Dagi wrestlers mma would loose signigicant part of knowledgable crowd.
