Do you like birds?

I present to you the bird puppy. It can simulate machine gun fire and keep your property values down! In all seriousness it's a shoebill. They hate everything except humans.

Look at this guy just strolling around like a boss.

Owls are the coolest.

Great birds, never meddum though.

Saw this rooster/chicken(I'm no chicken expert), chilling with ducks by my local pond. it was along my usual walking path going down town and I've never heard any chickens from the houses along the way so I'm not sure where it came from.

I wish we had hummingbirds here in Europe. They're beautiful, unique, and I love the way they fly.

And btw parrots in the Pionus family are A LOT better behaved than any other parrots. Just wanted to mention this in case there's someone who is thinking of getting one but is put off by how difficult they are.

Yes. Only time I don’t is when it’s like an hour before dawn and I can’t sleep. Those fuckers start going and I know it’s pointless
 
We oyster catcher chick. in the box it's mother staying close .We found it in work.I put it up high for it's mother but we had to put it to sleep cause it's leg was broke .

A we baby pigeon fell off the roof in the shed in work .It survived over 1 week but died .Should have phoned the rspca .Pretty gutted for it tbh .
 
At one point I was working out of this downtown office building, ~ 20th floor.

We had peregrine falcons all over the damn place up there.

Was really cool seeing their chicks walk around right outside the glass before they their flight feathers came in.

And stains that used to be pigeons all over the place on the narrow ledge of concrete outside the glass.

Those guys loved wrecking pigeons so much.

The area around the nests was a gore fest, blood splatters and the occasional pigeon foot.
 
i love wild birds.

i feed the local crows and magpies peanuts from my patio. always talk to them when i see them out on my walks. im a deranged lady.

i like the pigeons too. everybody hates them because theyre pesky but theyre just tryna adapt to the world we've made.

also like listening to birds chirp in the morning tho do not appreciate when the crows come at 5am and make ruckus to be fed early lol.

We have a hummingbird feeder on our front porch , they'll feed even if you're standing right there, sometimes a foot away and i love the sound they make , it's like nothing else , the fact they migrate thousands of miles and fly across the Gulf of Mexico just blows my mind .
