Yes, exactly. I spend hours watching fights, reading about fights, reading about fighters, reading about fighting styles, watching different fighting styles, learning about human anatomy, learning about physical health, athleticism, talking to fighters, talking to athletes, listening to analysis by experts, journalists, podcasts, etc. I learn as much as I can, and I am very good at learning, and I spent hours dissecting that information and determining as much absolute truth as I can.
This is called research and is the pillar of human knowledge and the foundation of every meaningful scientific and philosophical endeavor on the planet.
Not only is it entirely possible for me learn a lot about fighting from these efforts but it is absolutely possible that I could learn more about fighting than some actual fighters.
